Nickelodeon Schedule Discussion, Part 2

SpongeBob's been on TV for more years than both of those two Disney shows combined, and I doubt either of those two Disney shows reached even close to the level of popularity that SpongeBob's gained. Canceling SpongeBob now would be a much bigger thing than canceling Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

"Bad Seeds"
and Pig Goat Banana Cricket, if I'm not mistaken, are at least two of the cartoons still planned to come on Nick, anyway.

Nick does want to make sure it has plenty of live action, but that, also, doesn't automatically suggest it's going to get rid of all the Nicktoons soon. I assume SpongeBob's airing less partially to increase the diversity in the schedule and partially to give more value to SpongeBob having his presence in the upcoming movie.
I know. It has been on ever since I was nearly a year old. But in the past few years, SpongeBob's ratings have sunken. It's gone to the point where Teen Titans Go! and even Disney Junior's short series have received higher ratings than some airings. For example, in 2010, the show averaged 3 million viewers per episode, now it averages a million. Nowadays, only Disney shows can pull off the 3 million mark most of the time (the highest they've gotten recently was 4.6 for a Sofia the First special).

Considering that Stephen Hillenburg is just now returning to SpongeBob, I can't see the show being cancelled that soon. I think there will still be at least a few more seasons.

That's a good point, and also, it's gotten many spots on this list of stuff most watched on Nick for 2014 (at least when it comes to total viewers- although I doubt the kid demographics would be so different).

I don't think SpongeBob is 100% immune to getting cancelled at some point in time, but I do think it'll last a few more years. I see them making it to at least twenty years (and they're four and a half years away).

I don't think it's ominous for the show that it loses air times- it airs plenty compared to other shows.

Jan 1 will have SpongeBob marathon from 9AM-8PM, just only new React To That at 6PM only. SpongeBob has no new episodes for 2nd time this fall. Remember last November Thanksgiving Friday there was SpongeBob marathon, Yeti Krabs was supposed to air but had been pulled. Still nothing on Yeti Krabs as of this January month...

This marathon's really a cross promotion for the new movie coming up. My uncle saw a similar marathon earlier this week and told me it was for this reason. And about the no new episodes thing, I guess it's due to the ratings problems it suffers recently, being beaten by Disney stuff such as the preschool shows and movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Just checked Nick's schedule for Mon. January 19th (MLK Day) on Zap2it and it looks like Spongebob will be airing ONLY ONCE that day @ 8am. Say what!?

Of course knowing Nick that could change in a flash depending on how it's latest schedule revamp does, so don't get your hopes up.

12:30pm has FOP instead of Spongebob, 1pm has icarly movie, and wow 2pm sam and cat movie, and the rest of period has more live action. 7:30pm will encore Bella and Bulldogs one hour series overlapping nick at nite times third time. First was EWW Spellbound premiere, then New Years Eve Nick runs down best of 2014 shows and teenick top 10 videos, and now this!

Also I think this is the first time that this martin luther king jr day that Nickelodeon doesn't have any new episodes (not including new EWW) nor any specials for the first time in awhile. Does anyone know when was this last time Nick had new specials in 2003 or before?

Well, only got through four days of the new schedule and they already decide to pull Every Witch Way's 4:30pm slot to add an additional airing of iCarly starting today. Looks like Every Witch Way isn't returning too strong, gives me more reason to believe this season is it's last.

On the other hand it won't be long before more Spingebob spams the schedule.:rolleyes2:

2 reruns of TMNT are scheduled for tonight at 8p, but they MIGHT be pulled later on.

EDIT: Those reruns of TMNT DID air as scheduled.

I checked the schedules and noticed that this week SpongeBob is shrunk down to 3 hours of airtime on weekdays and 2.5 hours on weekends. Make of that whatever you will.

That's actually up from what it was before. Before it was airing 4 times per day and now it's back up to 6.

Starting this week, (It was supposed to be diversified, and less SpongeBob) BUT
-2 TMNT episode encores already aired last Friday
-Penguins of Madagascar aired last Sunday 7AM, and will more likely to air every Sundays unless otherwise, or other old nicktoons (POM has not been in Nicktoons currently so when will new episodes will burn out? This is taking forever..)
-4PM hour gets more SpongeBob (instead of iCarly hour), which then shifts 5pm iCarly, 5:30pm NRDD/Henry Danger rotation

Tues Jan 20 week 7:30PM Sam & Cat returns on schedule only, when there's no new Max and Shred scheduled on that week

And just like that more Spongebob is added. Nick just cannot live without that Sponge.

I'd say that's an improvement from airing 9 times a day for 4.5 hours.

What annoys me about the SB thing is that there is no new episodes, just constant reruns. I know it's because of the movie, but still, just air Yeti Krabs or something, even fans (like me) start to get tired of it when it's just reruns.

Minor schedule change started yesterday (I don't know about 2 days ago Monday..) Weekdays 7AM is now early Fairly OddParents, instead of Rabbids.

Starting Tuesday, I already mentioned Sam and Cat returns 7:30PM for a week, but it looks like the schedule will continue to air in weeks until further notice, which means Max and Shred will no longer be airing at that time, thus new episodes will still continue this week including Thursday and a Friday. Victorious returns in 6:30PM airing only weekdays. 5:30pm-6:30pm is Thundermans, iCarly at 5pm. Henry Danger and Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn are off the weekdays lineup. It will still be there in weekends for encores.

Only Sunday January 18 at 7:30PM, Nick will air SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, thus overlapping Nick at Nite times.

So, during Breadwinners, Nick erroneously told us (at the bottom of the screen) that Rabbids was next, even though it wasn't on the schedule.

Not sure why banner didnt tell us correct schedule update. I think Breadwinners airing at 1130am.

And tonight Disney is counterprogramming, 545pm is Zapped and 730pm is Despicable Me. With that, i have low hopes that Bella premiere would do well. Maybe it will be between 1-2 mil viewers, due to network down.

On Monday after Bella and the Bulldogs 730pm, what is more odd, an encore of Nick News about segregation is on schedule? I wonder why they schedule inconsistent and doesn't make sense. Nick news always doesnt do well, even in premieres, but when was this the last time they're showing encores? I think this is just schedule error.

And also Monday Haunted Hathaways episode encore, haunted volleyball were supposedly scheduled but were pulled with victorious return, stage fighting. Haunted hathaways was included in promo

On Jan 30, 830pm will be Bella and Bulldogs one hour encore, followed by new NFL Rush Zone, half hour special.

Starting first week February weekdays, the changes in evening lineup:
5PM-6PM iCarly
6PM-8PM NRDD (Mon.)/Henry Danger (Tues)/live action block marathon on each day

Looks like live action will be back to doing marathon since it started in November and did decent. Max and Shred are no longer airing anymore.

Today, Sanjay & Craig and Breadwinners are being replaced by FOP "Channel Chasers"; Rabbids has been off the air for a while now and it might not return.

Happy 15th anniversary to Secret Mountain Fort Awesome!

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!

WB has done so well with releasing the Paramount Popeye cartoons on home media that they should be chosen to distribute the long-delayed animated Popeye film that at various points was to be made by Sony and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who has a long association with WB sister property Cartoon Network).
