Nickelodeon Schedule Discussion, Part 2

I think it would be smarter if Nick will move whole live action line-up to Sunday to compete with Disney Channel. They can promote it hugely and add one of few remaning Spongebob episodes. Nick's live action is stronger then ever right now. If it will work, they can premiere Bella and the Bulldogs and 100 Things on Saturday. This is the best way to save all the shows
I think it should be the other way around.

Moving their Saturday night block is a VERY risky move. First because the shows have managed to still somewhat hold their own despite Disney Channel counter programming, something I highly doubt their new shows (Bella, 100, School of Rock) could do so early in their seasons.

Second, the Saturday night block is FINALLY scoring some good numbers. I doubt Nick would want to jeopardize that, especially since the shows have JUST started to deliver good ratings.

Third, we've all heard the saying, if aint broke, don't fix it, and that applies here. There is NOTHING currently wrong with Nick's Saturday night.

I think it should be like this:

Saturdays:
8:00: HD
8:30: NRDD
9:00: TTM
9:30: THH (Nick could burn this show off beginning January 10, and be finished with the show by February 28. The show will only have 8 episodes left after November.) They could replace it with React to That.)

Sundays:
6:30: School of Rock (Previewed on KCA night in March, official launch in April)
7:00: 100 Things (Feb) (this is only what I would do, no idea when this show is premiering)
7:30: Bella and the Bulldogs (Jan)

Plus I think all these shows blend well together since their the majority of their plots will likely place in school.

Fridays just don't work for Nickelodeon, Thursdays have a horrible track record, and Saturdays are too packed. Plus the Sunday night block wouldn't even be going against Disney's. The only major thing going against the Sunday night block is football, which will end in Feb. So really, the only thing going against it would be Disney's counter programming.

I think it's a good idea.

Can't Nick air something else besides The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie it plays a million times. I'll rather let Nick get some of the DreamWorks movies, even WB movies like Space Jam and Animaniacs: Wakko's Wish would work fine. Nick also has a huge movie library as well. Why does it have to rely on one movie (or in this case, show) all the time when it should air something else? Sorry to sound like a jerk, but a diversity would be nice.

SpongeBob Squarepants Movie was just a suggestion. I'm surprised that none of any theatrical movie had played this fall. Mrs. Doubtfire Nick will air Thurs Nov 27 7PM

What if Nick moved TTM/THH with IM/SDR Thursday nights:

7:00pm - TTM
7:30pm - THH
8:00pm - IM
8:30PM - SDR

Kinna risky, but Nick's live action is repeating well early evening on weekdays. And TTM and what's left of THH has enough following IMO to move over. Thursdays can work for Nick, they just need to begin to air at 7pm instead of 8pm, which is primetime. I think that's why Nick has struggled with BTR and IM.

No way Nick works Sunday nights. It's just too much competition across ALL networks and cable. Disney is getting eaten up alive Sunday nights. I would altar the Saturday lineup:

7:30pm - NRDD
8:00pm - HD
8:30pm - 100 Things
9:00pm - BatB
9:30pm - SoR

I guess we could swap around here and there, but that's still a lot of premieres. Either way, I think the best nights for Nick are Thursday and Saturday.

Nice, but I would alter your schedule a little tiny bit:

Saturdays:
7:30pm - SoR (this show will probably be Nick's most hyped show of the year, let it lead off the night.)
8:00pm - HD
8:30pm - NRDD (the show is doing very well in this slot. Nick has a lot to lose if they move this show, plus it's only in its first season.)
9:00pm - BatB
9:30pm - 100 Things

Thursdays beginning in January:
7:00: EWW (TTM/NRDD repeats after EWW ends)
7:30: TTM
8:00: IM
8:30: SDR

I have no idea where I would put THH. Oops.

Really hope Nick thinks this through. They really shouldn't order anymore live action series. There is just no more space.

Yeah, I agree. It's getting VERY crowded and space is limited. They have a good batch of live action at the moment.

I mentioned this another thread, but they NEED to push original content on to their digital networks. If these two pilots are picked up, they should start on TeenNick first. If they do well, easily repeat or possibly move them to Nick. But shows like AwesomenessTV, Webheads, React to That, and Max and Shred, could have really boosted TeenNick IMO, which only has TeenNick Top 10 and Degrassi. They are just a waste of slots on Nick IMO.

One thing Disney has done right has been pumping new content on DXD. And they've seen major growth there. Live Action, Marvel, Disney animation, movies. I hate to say it but maybe TMNT and PR SHOULD become NickToons exclusive to give that network "something" - similar to how Disney moved its animation to DXD, but still repeats them on the main network semi regularly.

----

Back to the current schedule, there's really too much too many factors. Will TTM/THH get renewed? When will BatB/100 Things get renewed? When will SoR premiere? But if I had it my way, Nick should do Thurs night premieres, Friday night premieres, (both beginning at the safer 7pm slot), and Saturday mornign and night:

THURS: TTM-THH-IM-SDR
FRI: TMNT-KFP-PR-ATV/RT (I know it'll never happen!)
Saturday morning animation
Saturday night live action with NRDD/HD/SoR/100T/BatB

I've mentioned it before, and Nick would have to be strategic in how they repeat and keep shows relevant. But a HD-NRDD-TTM-THH in the Fall, and a SoR, 100 Things and BatB lineup in the Spring could work too. I just can't see Friday or Sunday working for Nick. And Saturday is too much content.

Main thing is Nick promotes and keeps shows on repeat, which they've done pretty good in. I honestly think 4-5 premieres a night is too much. Three is ideal IMO. Better chance of not exhausting viewers.

Ahh.. you know Nick is doing well when theres discussion on this board. It;s been awhile!

AwesomenessTV is now airing on Teenick weekdays 1:30PM started yesterday. It's no longer on Nickelodeon schedule. I wonder how long will they show remaining 3 episodes. Nick has to not hold on to 3 episodes unaired for a very long time, next is Fairly OddParents, and WebHeads

Penguins of Madagascar is showing twice same Christmas episode on Nickelodeon, it's no longer airing on Nicktoons.

ATV is also airing weekdays 8a.

2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles scheduled to air tomorrow 8PM have been replaced by Santa Hunters based on nick.com schedule. Zap2it and toonzone schedule hasn't updated. It's unknown whether TMNT will be on Sunday 11AM for repeat..

DirecTV hasn't updated it, either. DirecTV has also scheduled TMNT for Sunday at 11am, but that might also be replaced; further evidence that TMNT should only be on Nicktoons at this rate. Sanjay & Craig and Breadwinners have been kicked out of this Saturday morning and replaced with SB. Sunday's PRSM has been moved to 7:30am, and there will be 3 full hours of SB from 8a-11a..

You were right -- Santa Hunters is indeed airing in place of TMNT.

Bella and the Bulldogs - Saturday, Jan. 17 @ 8pm.

I already posted it in upcoming Nick programming thread

Today 1PM-2PM Fairly OddParents were airing, not Henry Danger.
Nick.com updated, zap2it and toonzone schedule has not updated.
TMNT can still air 11AM every Sundays for encores.

Thundermans block is on Wednesdays, iCarly on Thursdays, Thundermans 1 hour on Fri. No Sam and Cat... but why iCarly keeps the schedule? Sam and Cat schedules for next week Dec 18

And I wonder why Nick doesn't air Victorious Christmas special?? Sure the last time Victorious was shown was last summer this year.

Looks like Nick will be doing that "Winter Break Block Party" marathon block they did during the weeks of Christmas and New Year's again this year, it's funny too because it mostly got low ratings since they did it for all of their currently airing shows. This year it starts Monday December 21st, 2014 @ 2pm with 8 episodes in-a-row of Henry Danger from 2pm-6pm, followed by Santa Hunters @ 6pm.

Yes it's kind of disappointing that they couldn't at least air the Victorious Christmas special at least once. Especially since it feels like Nick is lacking some in terms of Holiday specials in recent years. But apparently it does not do too well when it reruns on Nick anymore, unlike iCarly which is still going strong (not shocking).Another thing is I wonder why Henry Danger, Sanjay & Craig, and Breadwinners never got any Christmas/Holiday specials this year?

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!
