C&C - Akira [12/20]

And now GDI is helping out.

Oh, we're not at the climax yet...
I know, I've seen this movie before.

I just remember being kind of let down the first time I saw this, learning Akira was dead after he'd been hyped for so long.

Yeah, show Shirley Temple DVD commercials during the movie where all the kids look like 80-year-old midgets.

Wait, so was he already chopped into pieces before he blew up Tokyo? Or did they find his remains afterwards, and locked him away?

Tetsuo's been disarmed!

.....................I'm sorry.

"You've heard the old Klingon saying that revenge is a dish best served cold? Well, it's very cold in space!"

HEEEY! KA-NAY-DAAAAAAAA!

I don't think that's God.

Ahh, a movie that's aware that space is a vacuum and that nothing can be heard in a vacuum. Neat.

Not a single bleep in this movie. Color me impressed.

Tetsuo's got a new arm. Nanotech, perhaps?

No biggie. Tetsuo just makes himself a new arm. That sucker Edward Elric had to go through six months of hell.

Yeah, what do those rainbow waves indicate anyway?

Today's lesson, kids: science is evil.

And there's Tetsuo's girlfriend, just blundering in.

Oh boy, time for this scene.

Yeah guys, I just don't think this whole Olympics thing was meant to be.

WB has done so well with releasing the Paramount Popeye cartoons on home media that they should be chosen to distribute the long-delayed animated Popeye film that at various points was to be made by Sony and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who has a long association with WB sister property Cartoon Network).
Today is my Birthday!
Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
