I've been playing a lot of Super Mario Odyssey lately. It was one of the big titles during the Switch's first year and it got a lot of praise along with Zelda Breath of the Wild. After playing through a good portion of the game, I can see why. The graphics are really good and there are some nice creative designs for the kingdoms. It is a lot more fun to give Mario different outfits than I thought it would be. It is fun to explore through the different kingdoms in order to find the different Power Moons. Although, it is a bit overwhelming to know just how many moons are in the game and some of the challenges to get them seem impossible for me. I don't know if I'd try to go for a one hundred percent completion of the game, but I might give it a shot. I should be near the end of the storyline since I'm close to confronting Bowser, but it was getting a bit too upsetting and annoying, so I'm taking a bit of a break from it for awhile.
I also played a bit of Pokken Tournament Deluxe. Fans wanted a traditional fighting game with Pokemon and I think that it works in this game. It's pretty fun and it scratches my fighting game itch since I haven't gotten Super Smash Bros. Ultimate yet. It is more of a traditional fighting game than the Super Smash Bros. series is, but it is pretty enjoyable. It's hard for me to learn all of the combos, the tutorials are a bit too long to really help and the AI coach is so annoying that I had to turn off her dialogue during the matches. Still, it is a pretty enjoyable game, there are a ton of titles to unlock, the mission panels help to give you something to work towards for the different leagues and there is a good amount of Pokemon to choose from, although it is still strange that they didn't include Greninja in either version of the game considering its popularity.
I'll be going back to play through more of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee though. I'm close to finishing the main storyline with my Eevee team, I haven't done much of the post-storyline content with my Pikachu team and I'm still debating if I'll use a different Pokemon for my Pikachu team as well.
