Oh so WBD is now starting to pour in commercials for their pay-TV networks. Kinda makes sense now, not just because of the co-operation, but because conventional pay-TV operators now have it.

Saw another WBD network promo tonight during Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas last commercial break, this time it was for a show on TLC and HBO Max.

I apparently didn't read their Christmas schedule well, but was pleased to see they and METV picked up "The Story of Santa Claus" a special CBS would air every Saturday after Thanksgiving until a couple years ago. Nice that someone else picked it up.

I don't get it. What is so "TV-PG" about "The Puppy Who Wanted a Boy"? Was it some kind of ridiculous technicality or something? I HOPE it was a mistake, and they meant to say "TV-G". Now while I was "watching" it, I didn't always see the picture (was doing other stuff at the same time), so maybe I missed something?

I've noticed this with some other premiered Christmas specials, such as "The Little Troll Prince", "Little Rascals Christmas", and "A Miser Brothers Christmas".
It might be a technical issue, because when the original MeTV aired "Little Rascals Christmas" after the MeTV Toons premiere, it aired with the "TV-G" rating instead of "TV-PG".

The other specials I mentioned (as well as "The Puppy Who Wanted a Boy") should've also aired with "TV-G" since I haven't found anything "PG" about them while watching.

I think they merged the weekday and weekend morning showings of Captain Planet and Underdog. On weekdays they skip episodes now because they air on those Saturday morning slots, which aren't at the same time.

Not sure about Underdog, but it's always been like that with Captain Planet.

It's been that say with Underdog since probably Thanksgiving

The last episode to air before Thanksgiving was the first half of Go Snow. I was expecting the channel to air the other half on December 1

Then I noticed that the schedule for December 1 went a little haywire until I discovered that they aired it on November 29

Fun fact: During end credits of the fourth season of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, you can hear the "Puppy" theme music near the end. This is because it aired with "The Puppy's New Adventures" as part of "The Scooby and Scrappy-Doo/Puppy Hour", which was the one time Hanna-Barbera and Ruby-Spears worked on a show together. Both their closing logos were seen at the end, but more recent reruns leave out the R-S logo (sigh...).

One thing people do not understand is US TV ratings are entirely arbitrary. There is no board that rates shows like the MPAA for movies or the ESRB for video games. All ratings are decided by the networks themselves. There is no legal difference between rating programs a certain way and it has no real effect on the program. The only thing that the government does is program deemed "for children" is forced to carry reduced advertising. This is unrelated to the age ratings listed on the channel and is based on governmental decision. For MeTV Toons, IIRC the only shows not deemed "for kids" according to the government are the theatrical short blocks, The Flintstones, and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home.

That's a really big deal for this channel.

It has grown a lot since its humble beginnings last year. I can see it sticking around for a very long time.

Been a good roll-out for national providers.

And for HGTV promos, which air a lot. I assume that someone at WBD thinks that "the ones who watch HGTV also watch MeTV Toons regularly"

I can finally watch. It's been added to Xfinity channel 1736.

Yeah! I saw it when I was going to Freeform (1742) and saw it between Cartoon Network and TeenNick

It's that number here even though the Boston affiliate is owned by a different company. Xfinity never carried the Boston feed though. I don't know if there are any markets where the local affiliate was carried.
