I don't know if Mattel would have to get involved for them to air He-Man and She-Ra

MeTV did air both back in 2012, so unless things have changed since then, getting the rights to both (regardless of who they have to go through) shouldn't be a problem.

In 2012 Classic Media wasn't owned by Universal. At that time, Neal Ardman's Broadcast Partners had licensed the Classic Media library to syndicate to other networks including MeTV. That ended when Universal bought DreamWorks in 2016.

I have to wonder if the death of cable is partially responsible for shows being removed from rerun channels, especially if the channel is owned by a company who doesn't own the shows they air (such as any Canadian feed of an American channel being owned by Corus Entertainment).

Ah, didn't realize they were under different ownership/licensing back then. Although considering MeTV has stuff from Universal now, that still shouldn't be an issue.

You know, if MeTV Toons ever gets the rights to air Classic Media's shows somehow, I can see it acting as sort of a revival of what Qubo Night Owl had back in 2012/13, with Night Owl shows such as He-Man, She-Ra, BraveStarr, Ghostbusters (the one with the monkey), and new acquisitions like the UPA shorts, Felix the Cat, and Voltron. But you know what would be real cool? If they get full rights to WildBrain's library too! I know they already have Inspector Gadget, but for the other shows, only will we truly have Rocky and Bullwinkle, but also the DiC and Cookie Jar libraries, including shows such as Heathcliff, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show (although licensing the Mario IP might be a little pricy), and The Busy World of Richard Scarry. This may just be impossible, but hey, a man can dream.

Jay Ward's estate nowadays involves more bureaucracy. Currently it's easier to licence GOTJ 2007-2014 than GOTJ 1967. The last time the original show aired in the USA to my knowledge was in 1997 coinciding with the first live-action movie and the likely elapsing of Worldvision's rights due to corporate voodoo.

They might as well get Kirby right back at ya, captain n and the dkc show in a package deal(I think the rights to Kirby fully reverted to Nintendo after 4kids went defunct). Pair that with the dic sonic trilogy(rotate between aosth, satam and underground), and some other random game adaptations in rotation like street fighter, ruby spears megaman or pacman and they could start a whole metv arcade block of just game adaptations.

I dunno, 6Teen seems too new for MeTV Toons. The newest show I've seen on this channel, not counting shows based on older properties, is probably Histeria! or The Mask or something.

The main MeTV channel is purely 50s-80s so chances of seeing 90s content (other than 90s prints of older shows) is minimal.

They already regularly play Saturday morning cartoons from the 90s, and even into the 2000s with Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, Baby Looney Tunes, and Duck Dodgers.

The closest we'll ever get to late 90s action cartoons are the later TMNT seasons.

They recently started airing Everybody Loves Raymond, which is a 90s show.

I was going to compare that with MeTV Toons. They will never air the CN originals, that's for sure. But if they aired, they'd litter the schedule with 90s shows and the average viewer, kinda like the average MeTV viewer, would complain.
