  • Today marks the 23rd Year Anniversary of Toonami. I'm still grateful that Toonami was successfully brought back from the dead thanks to the April Fools' Day 2012 event.
Today marks the 10th Year Anniversary of when I joined this site, back when it was called "ToonZone". It has been quite a ride of a decade, to say the least.

The style I use to cover my thoughts on subjects has evolved over time and I have tried to make my intentions clear while navigating how to approach how to covey thoughts in a setting where tone can be tricky to covey (namely, the typed setting compared to the in-person setting). Here's to what's to come in the future.
Today marks the 12th Year Anniversary of The Spectacular Spider-Man TV Series. Both it and the 90s Series are the animated shows of the web-head that I had the chance to watch when they were first airing on TV. I find it unfortunate that the show wasn't able to make it past two seasons and that Greg Weisman hasn't shared much details about what could have happened in hypothetical later seasons.

Even though it premiered on Kids WB, I think of it as the first "Toonzai" cartoon. Because Kids WB was about to shut down when it premiered.
Today marks the 14th Year Anniversary of the Ben 10 Franchise (and the Original Series). While the Original Series is my favorite series of the franchise, I still feel that the sequels and the Reboot Series have their good points to them.

I still remember watching "the first ten minutes" on CN USA's website. The good old days before geoblocking (CN Video came in 2006 and it was geoblocked outside of the USA), so there.

Really cause I could've sworn it came out during the summer.

Yes, the first episode of Ben 10 first aired on December 27, 2005 as a "sneak peak" while the "formal first airing" was January 14, 2006. Most of the Season 2 episodes had their first airing during the Summer of 2006 while some Season 4 episodes had their first airing during the Summer of 2007.
Today is the 20th Year Anniversary of Donkey Kong 64. No matter what anyone else says, it will always be one of my favorite video games.
The words "overrated" and "underrated" (the latter to a lesser extent, if only because I don't see it used as often compared to the former) are two of the few "pet peeve words" I have.
How are you able to pre-type your posts for the dub airings anyway?

I also check official dub social media accounts to see if there are any announcements regarding certain dub casting (and if it differs from the recent video games). I copy & paste the recap to the respective episode thread and make any necessary changes while watching the dub episodes before posting.

Oh, so you just take pre-airing notes and update when the dub officially airs. I was hoping you'd know something about watching the official dub airings online when they air, because RL circumstances are being a pain right now.

That is correct, real life complications made that method more practical, as of late. I watch the dub episodes on TV when they premiere.

Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
