After only a year since Adult Swim took over the 8pm hour slot, Cartoon Network continues to shrink and will lose the 6am and 7pm hour slots. This change take effect, starting April 13. Adult Swim will use its new slots for more King of the Hill.

Cartoon Network re-acquires 2X2, acquires SLRC

The Turner Broadcasting System, through Cartoon Network, has announced plans to re-acquire Russian channel 2X2 from a bunch of munition-guarded blokes working at the channel's facilities, who acquierd the channel last year. The channel will now devote twelve hours of their schedule to CN shows.

Meanwhile, the acquisition of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation - SLRC for short, was surprising in so many levels, basically because the company wanted to lease the 7-8pm hour of Cartoon Network to transmit Sinhala programming.

The CN block on 2X2 will air from 06:00 to 18:00, according to what has been confirmed so far.

Cartoon Network to premiere animated series based on Juni

Juni, Sendai Television's mascot, has an animated series which never aired outside Japan. Now, Cartoon Network will pick up worldwide rights to air Juni: The Animated Series. It will start next week.

Cartoon Network Europe to become a single feed again

Due to budget constraints, Turner decided to temporarily replace all European feeds of Cartoon Network with a single feed with subtitles in twenty languages, in the style of Supreme Master Television.
The yellow, white and blue subtitles will make the shows accessible to people with hard of hearing from all of Europe.
