1/28: #16
Veronica Cale being in charge of the Suicide Squad with Starro was an interesting reveal/choice. What a line up: Zatanna, Dr. Poison, Giganta, Cheetah, and Nina Mazutsky! I thought Villainy Inc. at first but Starro instead of nanite bombs, so Suicide Squad. Guess Cheetah must be Priscilla, Deborah, or a brand new Cheetah created for the comic. Also, Cale wanting to "reveal what Wonder Woman" really is had to be a nod to Lex in Superman 2025.
Sacrifice is a recurring theme here but Steve giving up his military career for her was one of the best moments in this comic. But lol with the senator looking like the KFC Colonel.
Sherman continues to kill it. Art is so amazing down to the smallest detail of Diana's's clutch purse having her two Ws as the clasp.

Clever. Zatanna wasn't really a villain and used Diana to get rid of her Starro then bailed.
Well, Dr. Poison pwned within seconds.
Yeah. Barbara just keep standing there.
Oh, right, that was Queen Ara of the Men-Fish.
Loved the fight with Giganta. Really cool to see how different this fight is in the Absolute universe. Diana uses magic to keep matching Giganta's size. "She's really fixated on this bread analogy."
Yup, this Cheetah was Priscilla Rich. Was.
I'm guessing that's Giovanni Zatara since Zatanna's spell included "Giovanni Zatara of the Eternal Flame" and he's only fighting Diana because he doesn't know Zatanna has escaped. But how many times has Diana lost that arm?
I wonder if by touching that knife, would Barbara become the next Cheetah?

Ok, Zatanna kind of redeems herself and saves Diana from Giovanni's fire spell. Hmm, cursed Cale's hands.
lol, went right for Zee's neck. Ha ha, love it, Diana defeated the witch by drowning her - Zatanna can't speak her spells or sign. Funny symmetry.
Nice of Diana to liberate Ara.

Love a prison. Huhn. So no one will truly love Diana? Feels like a cop out but we'll see how that plays out.
Ah, Zatara on the other hand was bound by his guilt and I'm guessing Cale, at the very least, took advantage of it. Zatanna makes her move. But oops, that trapped Diana's mind at the crossroads realm...
Interesting to see Steve take the woman's place in the coven circle.

Zee saying they gotta stop meeting like this. heh.
Iron Maiden looks tough. How will she fare against a robot. Even then there will be consequences from Troika to deal with, too.

Wow, couldn't beat the robot. And now stuck in underworld for month. Didn't think this arc would end with an L for Diana. And that leaves Cale to manipulate and twist Barbara into becoming the next Cheetah. And Cale has a sample of Diana's blood.
