I heard recently that in the US, the two Babylon 5 titles 'The Gathering' and 'In the Beginning' were released on one DVD.
Is this true?
Over here, both episodes come on seperate DVDs that cost 25 Euros each. That's 50 Euro for both or about $40.
To make matters even worse there's no extra features on either of them :(
I get the distinct impression that European buyers are being seriously ripped off in this case.

I really hope WB makes more effort when it comes to releasing the rest of the episodes.

As usual - ripped. Very rarely in my experience does r2 ever come up tops...

slightly OT, my friend was about to order The 10th Kingdom on DVD. 40 quid (around $60) on R2. Found in on R1 - 13 quid ($20).

and I thought R2 were getting better. Pity it had to be B5 to prove they aren't - that is unless, anyone can confirm that the R1 is the same...

R1 has no special features, either, but both films were released on one disc. It was about $15 if you pre-ordered it, which is what I did. :) Sorry to hear that R2 got the short end of the stick with the double price, though. :(

Now if only the rest of the series would come out in season sets, I'd be one happy camper. :)

No surprise. Bufy Season 2 is double the price over here I believe..

That's why the European Court is taking on the movie studios... they say that region coding is more about making big profits than stopping piracy. By attempting to close off US imports to Europe the studios can overcharge us on their products, knowing that we can't buy them elsewhere. It's blocking competition by artificial means.
Thankfully, at least 75% of European DVD owners have had their machines hacked for all region playback.
I'm not sure about the current status of the European Court's actions, but if they succeed in their case then it could become law that all European DVD players are region free out of the box.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
