Cancelled games you regret?

Well officially its on "indefinite hold", so that could be some hope but that is also a formal way of canceling it not to mention any preorders were refunded.

The game was delayed way too many times, I also remember reading about how the code to the game was lost and they'd have to start all over and what not, I still hold hope.

I'm just going to move on, and not expect it to come out. Ever. Besides, the Game Boy line has been retired. Maybe they could put it out on the DS, but I don't know.

Well yeah you shouldn't expect it to come out, I was just saying small hope remains for the project to be revisited.

Another big canceled game was Kirby's Tilt n Tumble 2 for the Gamecube because of sales of the GBC one. It is indeed a big shame since the GBC game was very fun and basically this game was a precursor to the Wii with its motion technology. Good thing Nintendo didn't shy away from this idea after canceling the game.

Hmm... I remember a Earthbound 64 being in the pipeline, and was suppose to be huge. After posting a single picture, it was swept under the rug.

Space Quest 8 was another that could have been a real good adventure game.

The third Fear Effect game was never released either, much to my suprise.

I don't particularly care now as it probably would have stunk anyway, but I was quite upset when I initially heard Thrill Kill was canceled.

Oddworld: The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot. After the brilliantly-done Stranger's Wrath, I wanted to see more of what those guys could do.

Jackie Chan Adventures(PS2) was supposed to be released here in America, but the company that produced went bankrupt for no reason. I really would've enjoyed the mini-games. That's the reason why I bought the EyeToy. :(

All those Virtual Boy games that were almost complete or actually complete but not released with the logic that it would cost more to release them then to not release them at all. At least one of them (Bound High) even made it to the state where they were manufactoring the boxes & instruction manuals (unfortunately all those were then destroyed).

Also all the previously mentioned Rare games along with Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers (which became It's Mr. Pants) & Diddy Kong Pilot (which became Banjo-Pilot).

Rent-A-Hero No. 1 not getting a U.S. Xbox release still saddens me. It would still stand out compared to what's on the market now, and I wouldn't mind seeing it get a PS2 release.

I was disappointed when Ultra Descent didn't come out for the N64, as I love the hell out of the PC games, and they kept mentioning it was going to be released for months before it fell out of sight. Sure, the PSX version I bought recently wasn't A+ material, but it would've been nice.

And I'm not sure this counts, but I'm sorry they didn't do a Super Mario 64 2 instead of putting the franchise on hold then doing Sunshine six years later. It's not just that I didn't like the changes that they enacted for the Gamecube title (though I didn't), but I think it hurt the system to only have one big Mario title in 5 years, and the fact that they released a million other peripheral Mario games in the period (though I liked all of them) just made it more and more clear that they were filling a hole that should've been plugged by a true sequel. Hell, they could've just relased another 10-15 levels in a sort of Super Mario 64 1 1/2, and I would've snapped it up.

I feel bad about Naughty Dog quiting Crash........

True Fantasy Live Online (Xbox) - I really hope this eventually resurfaces because it looked amazing and like a big step forward when it comes to MMORPGs on a console. Not to mention it was being developed by Level-5, if TFLO ever does get the resurrection treatment it probably won't be on the 360 though due to the way Microsoft and Level-5 left the project to start with.

B.C. (Xbox) - Peter Molyneux's very ambitious prehistoric adventure looked amazing. It never was really officially canceled, but nothing has been said about the title since it was put on halt several years ago.

Chakan: The Forever Man (DC) - The Dreamcast remake of the Genesis cult classic Chakan was only ever briefly teased with a video of a 3D character model of The Forever Man doing various animations. Chakan was always a very interesting and original character and I believe he would still translate very well in a modern day game. We are getting a NiGHTs sequel so maybe a Chakan sequel isn't far off?

I feel bad about Naughty Dog quiting Crash........
Agreed, although I feel even worse about Naughty Dog going from one of the greatest platform series ever to what looks like at this point to be nothing more than a generic Tomb Raider clone.

Does anyone remeber the cancelled game for PS1 with Fred Flintstone and Scoopy Doo?

I agree on a 16 bit FFIII however didn't the Wonderswan get FFIV and skipped III?
They did and it was the last Final Fantasy game for the Wonderswan I believe.

Starcraft: Ghost

I agree with that one. Being a huge StarCraft fan, I was waiting for that game to come out. Then, they held it... and held it... and held it... and continued to do so until it was put on indefinite hiatus. Eventually it was just canceled in favor to develop the products they already have.

Whats worse is that it looked awesome.
