Digimon Adventure Gets a High School Sequel

I've heard of how well the movie is doing in Japan and that's great. Hopefully the other movies will do well.

As for the poster:

The other Digimon reaching their Mega forms is awesome. It's also good to see that both Mimi and Jo will be active in battle in the next movie, especially when Jo didn't have much screentime in this movie.

It also looks like the Digimon they're fighting is Imperialdramon. Maybe it has become an Infected Digimon and it ties in to what happened to the Adventure 02 gang.

I've never said it before, but I'm glad Joe cut his hair between now and 02. Long hair didn't look good on him.

God, I'm not an anime person personally but I've been becoming obsessed with this franchise. Or at least part of it (mostly the original characters and stuff). I finished watching Adventure 01 today (I had watched some of it obviously when I was younger, but never the whole thing) and I'm pretty sure I cried with the ending. I'm late to the party but I'm completely excited to check out Tri, since I guess I've heard good stuff about it, and I'd do anything to see more of the original characters.

Dont double post, its against the rules. And that movie is non-canon. It didnt happen in the anime continuity.

Here is the trailer, for those curious.

Looks like we'll be seeing even more fan-favorites from the first two seasons.

I saw that Taich are Digimon Emperor now so I wandering why he became Digimon Emperor Digimon Adventure tri?

Just like Ken was became Digimon Emperor before in Digimon Adventure 02.

So what wrong with Taichi now anyway?
Can you stop multi posting? It's getting irritating

I like the idea of role reversal that this Taichi is one who have gone to the dark side, and Yammato is going to be one of the people who might have to save him.

Well, I recently saw the first four episodes / the first movie on Crunchyroll. My reaction.....it's good! The real world setting does wonders to keep it fresh, and I like how they didn't just age up the characters but have some of them confronting realities of growing up. This is best illustrated by Joe, who's burdened by the pressure of cram school and getting into a good University. That's a genuine real life issue over in Japan. Then there's the Taichi v. Yamato (Matt) thing, which delivers double duty angst with the (mercifully understated) relationship triangle with Sora and Taichi's hangup over they damage they cause when they take on monsters.

Frankly, the argument is heavily one-sided in Yamato's favor - yes, if you fight the monsters you're going to cause property damage, and people might get hurt. But if you DON'T do it, well, digital monsters run amok and......cause property damage and get people hurt. All the more reason to knuckle down and neutralize the threat ASAP. It's nobody's fault monsters are pouring in (that we know of...). That said, while Taichi's angst may not make a lot of sense, well, he's a teenager, and I find it all too understandable and believable. He needs to just bloody get over it though. The other six get it.

On other fronts, TK and Kairi are kinda in the background so far, but I love that Mimi's the comic relief and yet not a stupid character. She's basically just what the group needs for them (and the show) to not get too moody and serious and down in the dumps about everything. And of course, the digimon do their part to keep things light...I love how they pull a TMNT thing and just get accepted into a restaurant because they put trenchcoats and stuff on. Yeah, it's ridiculous, but whatever. It's funny, this is a sequel to a kid show, I don't care. More stuff like that!

The action part is so-so to date. Not bad, but also kinda in the reintroduction phase. I look forward to more Megaforms so the whole team can put up a better fight against opponents like Alphamon. The champion levels getting the Worf Effect treatment isn't interesting.

So yeah, it's good, and there's the promise of more underneath the surface considering this group of adults that seems to know a whole lot more than the kids do (memories of Digimon Tamers here). This is one I'll stick with.

Yeah, while Taichi's issue is understandable, Yamato was basically right with how not doing anything isn't a solution since that's going to endanger people's lives even more. It's still understandable why it would shake Taichi so much. He is the leader, so he probably would feel more responsible for the destruction they're causing. Plus, being a teenager on the brink of adulthood would make him more aware of and worried about the consequences of their actions than when they were kids. It is an interesting conflict that I think ties in nicely with the gang dealing with the realities of adulthood, but their only choice here is to fight back to protect as many people as possible.

At this time, Digimon Adventure Tri is still planned to be released in six parts in Japan. The future of the franchise after that remains to be seen.

I was thinking about Yamato and Sora.

In Adventure 02 Yamato and Sora was relationship together in Episode 38 and another few Episodes.

In Adventure 02 Revenge of Diaboromon The Movie I see Yamato and Sora was have date together with picture on someone's computer by Diaboromon doing this.

In Adventure 02 Episode 50 25 years later I see that Yamato and Sora was married and they got two children is one daughter and one son but I heard someone said they was divorced and no reason why so I not know is that truth or not truth and I have no proof if they was divorced.

So is anyone know about it that Yamato and Sora was divorced is that truth or is not truth?

Also one more thing in Adventure Tri Reunion that Yamato and Sora not get relationship together so that strange.

Because in Adventure 02 that Yamato and Sora was relationship together and then after that in Adventure Tri Reunion that Yamato and Sora not get relationship together.

So is something going on between Yamato and Sora or it is about Taichi has problem?

So many questions, is this a poem because that is all I see here.

I think that the next movie will be out later this month. The trailers for it have been quite interesting and the animation continues to look terrific.

In fact, Crunchyroll has confirmed that Digimon Adventure Tri chapter 2 will be available next weekend. A subtitled trailer can be found here.

That's cool. I didn't realize that it was happening so soon. It feels like the first movie happened ages ago. I may rewatch the first four episodes before the next batch come out.

It does look like Crunchyroll will be able to release Digimon Tri simultaneously in episode format throughout the whole thing. It's as good a situation as a fan can hope for, for now.

I saw Digimon Emperor's hair is was blue on Youtube.

But I thought that Digimon Emperor's hair was Tai's hair from begin.

So if that Digimon Emperor are not Tai then who was it?

That Digimon Emperor is was Ken again from Adventure 02 or someone?

Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
