What is Disney going to do with Touchstone Pictures now that they bought Fox?

They probably merge with 20th century fox or Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Touchstone Pictures was actually just a label, there’s nothing really there to merge.

From their website. Surprised Deadpool is there. Also looks like they're happy to own The Simpsons.

I’m not surprised about Deadpool being there, there’s a strong focus on recent hit films, and upcoming ones.
Would’ve been nice if The Muppets were featured.

Of course, but they could revive the label or merge that with Buena Vista Distribution, given said label was recently revived for the release of Split.

Mixed with the Muppets not appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3, I almost think the Muppets would be better back at the Henson company. Then again, I doubt the Henson company will do any better...

Besides Muppet Babies reboot at Disney Junior, The Muppets Live Another Day will be a Disney+ series, taking place after the Muppets Take Manhattan. At least, the Muppets have new content under Disney and Sesame Street's still continuing at Sesame Workshop, the Jim Henson Company can't even get the Fraggle Rock movie up and moving but going for other fares like The Dark Crystal prequel series, Storyteller reboot, and still digesting the failure of the Happytime Murders last year. The last I heard that the Fraggle Rock movie was going to be produced by The Jim Henson Company, New Regency, and 20th Century Fox, maybe Walt Disney Pictures can provide that support that Henson needs to resurrect Fraggle Rock into a theatrical film.

And lo and behold, 21st Century Fox is no more. First Fox Kids and Fox Family, then pretty much everything else. End of an era.

They might be buying live events assets for the FOX broadcasting network because they plan to eventually to have more unscripted programs than scripted. However, any new scripted programs that are probably not Disney-Fox (20th Century Fox Television will still make programs for the channel regardless) but made by other studios like Warner or Sony, for example, Fox Corporation will own some co-production rights for those.

Star China Media (spin-offed from 21st Century Fox in 2014, owned now by Chinese Media Capital) only has the Xing Kong channel.
Disney was able to get all the remains of Fox Networks Group Asia and the Chinese channels do include Star Chinese Channel, Star Chinese Movies, Star Movies, and Star Sports East Asia (managed together with Fox Sports Hong Kong & Southeast Asia) besides all the other Fox-named channels.

As of yet no word regarding FOX Sports Asia switching back to ESPN or how the South Asian issue will be solved, as in India, there's a licensed Sony ESPN channel.

Fraggle Rock was said to be in development in 2015 but no major update since then. I’m guessing the Jim Henson Company has put the project on hold since it’s up to them to give more details. We haven’t even heard if New Regency will remain at Fox under Disney as a film producer. Let’s just wait on New Regency’s update first.
