This site ain't my thing these days, but I want to spread awareness about CN's screw ups on the new Ed, Edd n Eddy and Foster's box sets so that enough people can email them about it so they can make new discs. Someone on another site caught these and I can confirm these problems exist now that I got my copies.

Ed, Edd n Eddy has two episodes stretched on the last disc:
9. Tight End Ed; 'Tween a Rock and an Ed Place
14. May I Have This Ed?; Look Before Your Ed

Foster's had a shocking amount of issues I didn't expect:

Season 4 is encoded in pillarbox (think of Viz's first Sailor Moon DVD). This means while the image is 4:3, it is not in standard full screen and is instead encoded in widescreen with black bars on the sides. Why they would do this is beyond me, there is a quality loss from this.

Season 5-6 are in original widescreen, but not Destination Imagination, the movie is in that same 4:3 pillarbox that Season 4 is in.

I was really looking forward to these, but I guess CN can't help but treat their classics like dirt like they have been for a while. They can't even do the bare minimum like Nick does.

ATHF had a similar ordeal with the complete Baffler Meal set.

The way the discs themselves can be handled within the packaging was the absolute worst.

Had two of the discs almost break off as I was opening it brand new, since they have to be clumped with nothing good holding it together.

What made me look past it besides the last few seasons was that I could actually play the deleted cut of the Aqua Teen movie for the first time since 2007.

I cannot forget that Williams Street was also quite flimsy at times with their home releases. For each one that was an all around fantastic set, you’d also get some that would ridiculously wear out in a quick amount of time.

The lack of extras for the later stuff was kind of underwhelming, and with Shake Like Me they’re just encouraging you to pirate or get the older set (which I already have, but that disc now takes several minutes to boot up, if at all).

And the more I think about it, yeah... please invest in actual cases.

I also heard the holiday specials and the movie were not added to the Ed Edd n Eddy DVD.

sigh. I had a hunch this would be something they just threw together at the last moment. The box art screamed "rushed" to me.

the stretching of just 2 half-hours in the whole collection baffles me. are those the only episodes on that disc or was it some bizarre screw-up for a minuscule amount of episodes they handled?

the fact that its not even the last episodes is even more puzzling

Does the Foster's set have both endings to "Race for Your Life Mac & Bloo"? And as for the two Ed, Edd n Eddy episodes on the last disc, they are stretched to widescreen, I presume.

Also, someone should contact Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment about this, and that they should have the original widescreen version of "Destination: Imagination", and they should include the Ed, Edd n Eddy holiday specials and the Big Picture Show! And what about "The Eds Are Coming, The Eds Are Coming"!

But with Zaslav in charge, this seems highly unlikely...but us toon fans are tearing our hair out!!!

In iTunes version, it is in correct aspect ratio - 4:3.

14. May I Have This Ed?; Look Before Your Ed
Sadly, iTunes didn't include this episode since it was supposed to be 6th season that was cancelled by CN, and it didn't include in complete series, but it does include in complete collection DVD version.

Special episodes, exception of The Eds are Coming isn't include in iTunes.

Destination: Imagination is included in 6th season in iTunes but it is cropped 4:3 like others said.

I'm not going to hold my breath about CN and WB to fix those issues, and they don't care, sadly.

Yes, it is awful for sure.

Not to mention, the special features are just from the first two seasons and nothing else.

hope they get around to making more DVD sets for shows, i need a complete flapjack collection. but i hope they put more effort in the future instead of reskinning old sets. also if we do get a flapjack set or a chowder set, they gotta make it a bluray set, or at the very least a widescreen set. given that these shows were produced in HD i'd hate to see shows that look as good as flapjack and chowder get dummed down to boring 4:3 SD sets

I doubt they’ll ever release those separately.

The Baffler Meal set was pretty much done so fans could no longer go “yeah you haven’t put the rest on physical release [as],” and to capitalize on this notable year ATHF has had.

I just hope the AquaDonk season makes its way to the special features of the new movie since the Blu-ray release already has some interesting things on it.

Otherwise, that’s another potential thing the complete series set screwed the pooch on.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
