First World Problems

I want a Panasonic plasma TV, but I can't afford one and they stopped manic acting them. I want and Oppo and a nice surround sound system too, but there isn't any space for it in my bedroom until I move out of my parents' house. I guess I'll have to make due with the HDTV I have ;).

Speaking of TVs, the HDMI ports on mine fried last summer after a really close lightning strike so I only have one composite connection available for my Wii and Blu-ray player which, despite the splitter I'm using, is annoying to change between. The sound when playing Netflix or DVDs/Blu-rays is also screwy, with the background music overtaking the dialogue -- but not when on the TV setting. I tried speakers but that connection was apparently fried in the lightning strike as well.

I think there needs to be a multimillion-dollar, nationwide ad campaign convincing people to shoot cell phone video in Landscape instead of Portrait. I'm so sick of seeing yet another extremely narrow home video on the news.

"This is your brain when you don't turn your phone horizontally." *squish*

eBay has started sending me spam E-mails notifying me of auctions that I might be interested in, and they are always of things I have already bought. I don't get the point.

I agree with you. Landscape is way better.

Just this evening, my headphones started to act strange; my right bud doesn't project any sound, and I don't like having one ear being yelled at, as it's really annoying; I demand equal representation for both eardrums!

My NBC affiliate pre-empted Believe for a basketball game for the second week in a row, and I'm livid.

Will they stream it somewhere online tomorrow? Probably. But (1) it's not the same as watching it on the TV and (2) this complaint is going to be exclusive to me, but I like to preserve shows I like as they originally aired, ads and all. Sometimes this is an extra boon because they don't release the shows in HD. The stupid, stupid Blazers have robbed me of my chance to get a complete HD set for Believe.

Is it a valid concern that KGW could affect the show's ratings (such as they are) by registering a score in Portland of zero? Even if that isn't counted, the ratings of other shows in the same time slot would be driven up (since one of the choices is eliminated) and essentially have the same effect. It kind of needs every drop to live, and it's not getting it from this city.

Something similar happened on Easter Sunday. I was watching my favorite Sunday entertainment show (Vale Tudo) which began late due to the network television premiere of Brave. When they returned from the ads, it was pre-empted (for 10-15 minutes) to show SIC Notícias' Play-Off, which was covering the victory of some soccer team. I was whining and believing that the show wouldn't return but it did.

When you have directtv and your step dad backs his truck into the dish and dents it and knocks the alignment with the satellite off. So no tv till tuesday untill a tech comes out to fix it.

Toon Zone crashes on the desktop if you stay there too long. My desktop.

Toon Zone gets too busy and is inaccessible if there are too many people on my laptop - MY LAPTOP which I just bought last year.

Guys, this is not the place for that. Technical problems go in Feedback and Suggestions.

When my decoder stops during a recording of something.

The vending machine's cooler was broken. So yay! Warm water for me!

Pandora is playing too much live music, and I hate listening to live music on the radio. That's what you go to a concert for.

When there's a 10-second long video on Youtube, you can't skip the ads.

Okay......as of today, whenever I open a new window in Firefox, it appears BEHIND my current window. I select a video to appear fullscreen, and it appears fullscreen BEHIND the webpage, so I have to minimize it.

What's going on? Is anyone else having this problem?

I don't use Firefox, so no.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
