Is Mircaclous Ladybuug Only Popular Because Its An Action Series?

This is from the people who brought us Totally Spies, and that also means the ones who created Mandy.

Don't remind, I swear if you asked who is the worst mean girl bully character in animation, it is hands down Mandy. No one comes even close, not only is she a horrible annoying person, but that voice ill. I defend any other mean girl character who people say are the worst, Diamond Tiara, Biskit twins, Pacificia, etc., they got nothing on Mandy, she is the worst.

Are you sure it is from the same people that made Totally Spies, just because it is from the some country, doesn't mean it is all done by the same person.

That is why I prefer anime, they don't do that trope that much.

I watch it for the action. Sure I like the shipping but I wouldn't watch it if it was a comedy.

Hmm... when you using tapatalk, you don't have word "delete" in red text? A friend of mine also using tapatalk don't even know to delete.. Even when I use desktop or laptop computer, I even used ipad mobile, I figured how to delete.

Even there is no fix, maybe next time if no service when entered, maybe try to wait longer rather than posting another one. Just my opinion.

After doing some research it truns out you're right. I just assumed they were because of the similarities. It truns out all the good shows from France have a few things in common that make me thing there from the same company.

It's been awhile since I've seen Totally Spies, but Miraculous Ladybug doesn't seem that similar to that series. They have some of the same kind of tropes, but not really enough to make them that similar, especially when Ladybug is focused primarily on her instead of a group of three characters.

Besides the action and shipping elements, I think the overall art style of the characters, backgrounds, etc. are so unlike most of what gets produced in the U.S., it's unique enough to gain popularity.

It's a real shame Nickelodeon won't air it at present, for whatever reason. The creator assures everyone that Nick loves the show and it will return.

The production company (Marathon Media) is the same, but I'm not sure if a lot of the same staff worked on both series. I think more staff from Totally Spies! worked on another French animated series, Lolirock, which is now on Netflix.

You know now that I think about it this could be a reverse role of Spiderman here these comparisons.
*Both protagonist are Teenagers that have Superhero alterego that are based out of bugs.
*Have work with a Black Cat character.
*Chloe is a like to Flash Thompson as they both like the Superhero but are big jerks to the hidden hero.
*Both franchises take place in Big cities of their respective nations.

Overall it has qualities comparable to a Spiderman show with the roles reversed, and I see it now how comparable they are.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. The show hasn't been on regular Nickelodeon for quite awhile, so it was expected to move to Nicktoons or Teen Nick. If anything, I'm surprised that it lasted that long on regular Nickelodeon. Digimon Fusion only lasted three episodes before they shoved it off to Nicktoons and they really don't have a good history with third party content either. It is too bad that they probably won't have the series On Demand once premieres start up again. I always liked watching the series that way, but at least I have Nicktoons, so I can try to watch it when it airs.

I believe that a second and third season has already been ordered for the series, so those will be made. Whether or not Nickelodeon will pick them up and air the episodes on Nicktoons remains to be seen. They might just air what they ordered of the first season and never touch the following seasons.

Makes you wonder if they did their homework over in France before they licensed the US rights to THIS channel. Then again.....it's my understanding that this was originally meant to be a Disney Channel or Disney XD program? Maybe Nick was the only option left when Disney backed out.

I know that the series airs on Disney Channel in other countries, but I don't think it would have worked for the U.S. Disney Channel. They only air their own shows. Disney XD might have been a better fit for it, but they still don't have too many third party shows on their channels. It probably would have been handled better than what Nickelodeon is doing at least.
