Jeez, is it ever cold outside

We had it bad here in the midwest a couple weeks ago, but the last week it's been unseasonably warm... last sunday it was in the upper 60's!

My theory is that you guys in the northeast got all our cold weather on top of your normal coldness.

You're welcome :D

Haha Tim, I already blame Canada for all of the cold we get, so HA! :anime:

Temperatures were in the positive single digits last night. The wind chill crossed over zero a few hours ago. At least yesterday and today were scheduled as vacation days from school (5½ day weekend), so I did not need to be outside. (Well, maybe 30 seconds this evening) 20 degrees is better than 90, but it was a little too cold for me last night.

I will blame Canada. Where did the cold air come from? It came from a country that borders the United States, and I am not talking about Mexico.

Meterologists notwithstanding, blame us? Honestly, that's so lame and at the same time offensive.
i don't think we can actually blame canada for the weather the northern united states is having. that's kind of like blaming japan for a crappy godzilla movie. i personally blame the jet stream. if it was flowing to minnesota from the south, we would be having warm temps. but, i like the cold weather, so i can't speak for the majority :)

You're welcome. :D While we're at it, it sounds like this would be a good time to beef up border security to keep that nefarious frigid air from crossing the border. :p

Seriously though, when Vancouver went through it's cold snap (which is normal temperatures for the rest of Canada, the US Midwest, and the northeast), not one meteoroligist blamed it on Alaska or anything (which, seriously, is where it came from). They just said it came from the north, blah blah blah; however, at the same time, when the same arctic air mass was affecting Seattle, two thirds of their meteorologists kept referring to it as "Cold, Canadian Air". I thought it was funny - lame, but funny.

*STRANGLES ANIME_BABE, ANYWAY* *SLINGS SNOWBALL AT HER* Gotcha! *FLEE*

It 20 degree out here but with wind chills, it's even lower! Its times like this you want to curl up in your bed and hibernate.

Well, as some of you may know, I'm from NYC. This morning, we tied the record low at 1 degree F!!! Last year, it was single digits. Hasn't been this cold in 10 years! I still remember when I was in Brooklyn (I live in Staten Island, for over 5 years btw) and trudged through snow and wind from my dad's house to my mom's; I had to mind his apartment while he went to Europe to attend his mother's funeral--she died of diabetes.:(

Well, I've been staying in mainly and checking out some of my dvds. Hey, it's winter. Can't do nothon' about the cold.

In the two weeks immediately following Christmas, it was freezing here in Van-City...in the middle of the day it was minus 8 Celsius (which is somewhere in the 20's in farenheit). For us that's absolutely freezing. The usual temperature is plus 10. :( I'm just glad our palm trees managed through the cold.

Oh. Oh no. Poor Tim has to live in a freezing city in extreme and rare temperatures of -8. It breaks my heart. Really.

;)

*Whips out sling shot, fires icy snowball at Tim* Take that!
I do appologize if what I said about Canada offended anyone. It was mearly in good fun with Tim's comments. Anyway, here in WI, we have a winter weather advisory and are expecting freezing rain/sleet/snow of about 2-4 inches. It's about 23 right now, but getting colder as we speak.

That's too bad Blue Falcon, it would be cool if you were on my side of the state! :anime:

Good one.

According to CNN.com, it's -45 with windchill in the northeast, officially "extremely dangerous". They say you can get frostbite in 15 minutes. Yowza!

Well our Area is not all getting more rain then usual, but at times above normal Temps here in Bremerton, and plus I think if this keeps up for one more week, we could be getting an early spring, and that my friends is not all that good, means more Blood sucking insects.

Hey, considering that on most nights it doesn't even dip below zero, -8 is quite devastating to us dudes out in left-coast lotus-land. :D

You were here for a time last winter, you know what I'm talkin' about! We should be thankful, too - 75% of the people out here could NOT drive in the snow if their life depended on it. :p

Amazingly enough, here in Montana it's not really that cold. I wore a short sleeve shirt today and walked to the coffee shop without a jacket and was fine. The snow is melting, god I love it:D Though I am in the minority, living in a ski town. It's probably been about 40 the past three or four days

About 2 weeks ago we had some freezing weather. One day the buses weren't running (and of course I didn't hear it on the radio, so waited outside in -36* weather for 25 minutes before going home and waiting for a ride. I had lost feeling in my toes:( )

I miss Georgia weather. I don't think I would say that if I still lived there, but with all this snow, I miss Geogia winters:sweat:
