"In case you forgot, or no one told you in the first place, Aubrey Plaza has a cartoon coming out about a cat named Kevin. She co-created the series with Joe Wengert, and they both serve as executive producers. Jason Schwartzman stars as Kevin’s voice.

What’s Kevin about? The titular furball lived with a New York couple in their Queens apartment but longed for the freedom of street life. When the couple breaks up, Kevin decides to break up with them and moves into a local pet rescue operation. There, he befriends a gang of misfit animals and, according to the synopsis, they “help him discover what he truly wants out of life.”"

"The one word the late, great Catherine O’Hara was famous for screaming will soon be getting its own series. Kevin is the name of a cat who once lived with a New York couple in their Queens apartment but longed for the freedom of street life. When the couple broke up, Kevin decided to break up with them and moved into a local pet rescue operation, where he befriended a gang of misfit animals.

Jason Schwartzman voices the lead feline, while Aubrey Plaza — who co-created the show along with Joe Wengert — plays the cat’s former owner Dana. Kevin’s wacky friends are played by Whoopi Goldberg (The Lion King, Sister Act) as Cupcake, John Waters (Hairspray, Liar Mouth) as Armando, Aparna Nancherla (The Great North, Bob’s Burgers) as Judy, and Amy Sedaris (BoJack Horseman, At Home with Amy Sedaris) as Brandi. Gil Ozeri (Big Mouth, Monsters) plays Seth, the human who runs the shelter."

The News Team's Golden Geek has a new review up on the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:

"Review: “Kevin” Season 1: Forgettable Feline Misadventures"

"Have you ever wanted to talk to your cat? Perhaps come to some sort of understanding that he’s ready to find his own footing in life, and allow him to make a group of misfit friends who make quips about pop culture with one another? If your response to that is “what on earth are you talking about” and “wait, that sounds oddly familiar,” you’re on the same footing as most people going into Prime Video’s Kevin. One look at the cast of the adult animated series implies how much Amazon has put into it, yet it lacks much in the way of laughs or story, and has a largely paint-by-numbers approach to the “animals saying crude things” formula.

Kevin is a pampered house cat who’s never had to worry about much of anything – until the day his owners sit him down and explain that they’re separating. Rather than picking one side of the argument, he decides it’s time to set out on his own, something it seems plenty of animals are doing in the universe’s fictional version of New York City. However, the transition from housecat to semi-wild life is one that he realizes his paws aren’t equipped for alone. With the help of some oddball cats moved indefinitely into an even more oddball “adoption agency,” this tuxedo might just have a chance to learn the ins and outs of…adulting? Catting?"

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
