One thing I definitely liked was them showing how he could use anything as a weapon, even a piece of pizza. It's not really explored much in the comics, but he's been shown to use anything from quarters to his own fingernails as weapons when he's been stripped of his bow.

That stuff was from THE ULTIMATES version of the character (which I HATE). The Ultimate version of Hawkeye is basically a Bullseye ripoff.

It was kind of neat to have a few Earth's Mightiest Heroes veterans voicing the Masters. We had Jennifer Hale (Ms. Marvel) as Screaming Mimi, Rick Wasserman (Thor) as Fixer, and E.G. Daily (Mockingbird) as Moonstone .

It would've been so delightfully meta if Wally Wingert was playing Goliath and Chris Cox was Beetle's real voice :p.

Is Jennifer Hale going to voice Captain Marvel? Does anyone know?

Grey DeLisle/Griffin played her in Frost Fight, so I assume that's going to carry over into Ultron Revolution ;).

Though given Cap and Iron Man had different VA's in that special, who can really say? The only hint we have that James C. Mathis III is reprising Black Panther is that he's apparently voicing him in Disney Infinity, and Jennifer Hale played Carol as Captain Marvel in that game too (as well as Colleen O'Shaughnessy as Wasp).

I would think the fact that she's playing Mimi/Songbird might rule her out, as that's already a fairly prominent role, but David Kaye is confirmed to play Vision while he's also currently voicing Baron Zemo.

I liked how they are building up the classic Masters of Evil and building up to the Thunderbolts.

I liked that they showed Hawkeye having some smarts, as he was developing his own trick arrows.

Nope. The fingernail scene was from the Ultimates, but Hawkeye has been shown being capable with throwing projecticles even going back to his original Solo Avengers run. Note that he hurls them with enough force to shatter hard ceramic spheres that broke his bow and injured him earlier.

I think it'll be Grey Griffin, but it's possible Hale could do both. It could even be the reason she was asked to do a Southern accent for Screaming Mimi, similar to how David Kaye's German accent on Zemo differentiates his voice for Vision/JARVIS.

That's possible, though I think she's likely going to drop the accent for Songbird to better differentiate her from Mimi and help keep up the Thunderbolts' masquerade.

We already have Mach-IV actually talking in previews, which is a big change from how he is as Beetle, and Citizen V talking in an American accent rather then Zemo's normal German accent, so I imagine all of the Thunderbolts are probably going to sound a little different from what they were like as the Masters.

Otherwise it would be more obvious to The Avengers and anyone who they really are, beyond their different appearances and costumes.

Thanks for the info. I only read one issue of SOLO AVENGERS when it originally came out (I didn't enjoy the sole issue of the series that I read, so I decided not to continue reading the book), so I had no idea that this was part of the main MU continuity. That being said, it's still a dumb idea (IMO) to turn Hawkeye into a heroic Bullseye knockoff.

I was also not a fan of Fraction's HAWKEYE series (I HATE Hawkeye wearing that boring and ugly looking movie costume).

My issue with Fraction's Hawkeye was, much like Assemble, it's characterization of Clint, where he was this mess of a human being, a screw-up, and ended up cheating on his girlfriend because he met a pretty redhead.

The same Hawkeye who had grown out of being the cocky and confrontational rookie of the team, had gone on to lead an Avengers team of his own, redeemed the Thunderbolts, and who was faithful and committed to his wife before her death.

What really set this episode apart from past Assemble episodes was that, for once, Hawkeye was actually acting like Hawkeye for the most part.

Like a lot of people, I love Fraction's Hawkeye so I'm probably the wrong person to talk to.

That's fair. I can appreciate and enjoy it from a writing/artistic standpoint, even if I don't agree with the handling of certain characters or moments that happen in the book, and collecting the entire series was fairly satisfying :).

Personally I'm more of a fan of Jim McCan's Hawkeye work, but that's just me ;).

Eugene Son tweeted some fun behind the scenes stuff about this episode:

1. A line about what Zemo offered the Masters of Evil, which got cut out.

Oh Goliath :p.
I guess Tony Stark doesn't get the meaning of the word pacing. Or humility .

3. Having Hawkeye mimic John McClane and not wear shoes was director Tim Eldred's great idea.
So now the question is...who's responsible for actually making Clint cool in this episode? Wayne or Eldred ;)?

Happy 20th anniversary to Gummibär/Gummy Bear!

Here's to hoping he releases an anniversary album in stores on November 13th (with lots of music, videos, and extras).
Just brought a Switch 2 this past weekend. I hope Nintendo doesn't follow Sony's suit of getting rid of physical games.
Find it hard to beleive how this upcoming set has more than one normally-considered "politically incorrect" cartoon in new restoration form..
