Technically speaking, Nintendo already did the F2P thing with Wii Fit U.
Oh yeah, good point Jave.

I hate deals like that because there are always people who get a system just days before the promotion begins. I got my 3DS XL a few weeks ago.Dude, I wish I could take advantage of this offer, but I don't exactly have a few hundred bucks laying around:
Buy a 3DS and one game, get Pokemon X or Y free
Online play for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games will be unaffected (aside from the Wii mode on Wii U and Nintendo DS games on Nintendo 3DS family systems). Other online functionality, such as access to the Wii Shop Channel, the Nintendo DSi Shop and video-on-demand services, are also not affected at this time.

I've never owned a previous version of the DS and have no older styluses to use. And I guess I just prefer having an official stylus. However, the crisis has been averted. After hours of searching my room, I found the stylus in the kitchen. I did not got into the kitchen in-between me having it and me losing it, so... I'm not sure how that happened. I can only assume my cat nabbed it after it fell onto the ground.First off, ALL Nintendo stylus models work with all DS systems, so it's not going to blow up if you use an old phat DS one with a new 3DS. It just might not fit into the slot exactly. Second, the Gamestops and Toys R Us' near me have XL specific stylus 3-packs that are just as high quality as the OEM versions. I believe the reason Nintendo doesn't specifically sell ant market official replacements is because so many other companies already have the stylus specs and produce good quality replacements.
