Does anybody here plan on seeing the eclipse? Unfortunately I was unable to get eclipse glasses so I a, going to have to make do with a pinhole camera. I have never seen a solar eclipse before so I'm excited.

I'm pretty excited for this event, its not always we get to see a solar eclipse, though I am pretty nervous at the same time.

Made a pinhole camera. Sounds pretty cool.

The eclipse here is going to be partial, as we are not in the severely affected area, and will be around our sunset.

Got a pinhole camera myself. Going to try to see it.

Oh boy i'm so excited!

EDIT: CBS News has a live feed about the eclipse.

That's pretty cool, watching the CBS video now of what it looks like in Madras, Oregon...

The eclipse started in New York a minute ago, but I'll check it when it's at its maximum, at 2:44.

Did anybody try to take a picture? I put my phone on selfie mode and held it over my head to take some photos and I kept on getting, what I'm guessing is, a reflection of the partially covered sun.

Pretty cool that Bonnie Tyler is going to do a live performance.

I just love how the Fire Nation is #3 trending worldwide.

We should get 72% coverage in 13 minutes. Hopefully it shows up in my area. Some people say some parts of New York has gotten darker, but it's still bright for me.

A co-worker had some of the special glasses, so I went outside and briefly looked. Around where I live (in Southern Missouri), it wasn't going to get completely dark, but it was still 97% covered at one point. The sky certainly did get darker, and the most creepy thing occurred: the crickets (or whatever they are) that you usually hear as dusk comes in for the night, they started chirping! And then they stopped as the light began to return. Still, a cool moment.

I tried taking a "selfie" of the sun, to catch the eclipse, but even at 97% covered, the light being generated wouldn't allow for you to see the moon. I just ended up with a photo of the sun, it looks like...

That looks cool, but based on where I live, it doesn't cover 100%, but 86% i believe. i couldnt go outside, but i watched it on livestream

The official song of Eclipse Day:

I tried to get a picture of the eclipse, but I didn't have any luck.

Well that was disappointing. The only way you could have seen it here was if you had eclipse glasses. Watching through your phone didn't work and the cereal box thing didn't work. I wish the media gave this more advanced notice so glasses wouldn't be sold out. At least we know the next one is in 2024.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
