In case you wanna start getting ready for the 2024 American eclipse, here is its path.



Carbondale, Illinois may as well rename itself Eclipsetown, USA after having both in 7 years.

Well that was disappointing. The only way you could have seen it here was if you had eclipse glasses. Watching through your phone didn't work and the cereal box thing didn't work. I wish the media gave this more advanced notice so glasses wouldn't be sold out. At least we know the next one is in 2024.

Not sure about where you live I've heard about almost yearly since the annular one we had back in Charleston since 83 or 84.

Fast forward till the last two years and it's been talked up a ton. Sorry that it seemed like a bust for you, hopefully you get a chance during the 2024 one. Heck try and find away next year to antarctic one, that would be a pretty sweet one.

Did you at least notice it get kind of dark? I think we were like 80-90% where I live and it looked like twilight but with shadows.

I wouldn't say darker, but the sky looked less blue as it approached it's peak. We had 72%.

It got kind of dark just before the sunset. Kind of like the partial European one we had back in 2015, at 8am it felt like it was already 6pm.

At 65% around my parts same as everyone else not much change, just got a slight bit darker but nothing much else. It was Sunny with little clouds do, and I did see the moon cover the sun.
