Some I find underrated:

Super Mario Galaxy 2- Sort of contradictory with all of its critical acclaim, but some fans (understandably) found it too similar to the 1st Galaxy. I personally enjoyed it more because I found its difficulty to be more balanced as well as some of the subtle improvements the game offered (being able to choose Prankster Comet missions when you felt like was nice).

Now for the controversial ones:

The Post-Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot games- Please don't kill me! I personally liked Crash of the Titans, even with its different gameplay, and I find it amazing that this is one of the few Crash games my brother likes to play (we enjoyed the co-op very much).

Underrated: Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter. Many JRPG fans hated it. But I think it's the best of the series, simply because it does its own thing and wasn't afraid to take risks. The other games in the series were good, but often felt like JRPGs you'd choose to play when the big names weren't available.

Underratted
Deus Ex: Invisible War- Inexplicably, this game has gotten so much hate, and for the life of me, I can't understand why. Is it less complex? Yes... but sometimes less is more

Underrated: Dragon Age II, it gets a lot more hate than it deserves. It received good reviews and made a lot of improvements to the original. However, go to any video game forum and it's a point of contention. I really enjoyed the game myself and only had a couple of problems, however I found a lot to love.

Overrated sequels is kinda hard to determine when I can't think of one, but I can think of overpriced ones

Underrated:
  • Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is one, story is shorter than AC2, environment to roam through is smaller, but gameplay is better, and the bit of decrease in physics realism sort of serves the game more than adding them for his age factor
  • Spider-Man 3 is easily the first to come to mind, I know it's faults and down points, and see where SM2 is better, sadly the improvements made in this one are vastly overlooked, some stuff here are hated or ignored and in other games they are praised. And a lot of complaints this one receives are things common in other games, somehow they are painful here and they're obvious in other games (i.e boss fights are simply characters with longer health bar repeatedly doing a few moves), that's done even in big league fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Tekken

Alright, it seems like no one wants to mention the overrated, so let's just talk about the underrated sequels from here on out.

I almost never hear anyone talk about Donkey Kong Country 3.

Sure, it was basically the same plot as Donkey Kong Country 2.
Sure, Kiddy Kong wasn't a very memorable character, but this game had some of the best level designs and music in the series, in my opinion.
And it still had everything that made the previous two games great.

I find that Sonic 3 is overshadowed by Sonic 2, but I think Sonic 3 is so much deeper. You can add Knuckles and it makes for an enormous game.

Also Final Fantasy 8 which had to fill FF7's shoes. I love FF8. The music was great, there were some cool characters, and it was an interesting story.

Yeah, I honestly enjoyed Final Fantasy VIII despite all the hate it got.

Sure the Junction system and needing to constantly Draw Magic from enemies to increase your stats got annoying at times, and the fact you don't get money from enemies kinda sucked at first, but I didn't hate those concepts. I still had fun with this game.

Also, Final Fantasy VIII had Quistis.

I thnnk Suikoden Tierkris gets a lot of crap for not being part of the main line and changing some mechanics, but I thought it hadf a really good story and engaging characters.

Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
