No it worked just fine. I ran around Playstation @Home and played some AC:Brotherhood online. I don't think the store is up yet though, which makes sense. You want that the last thing to go up.

Up in the UK now as well. I do not have a Ps3 but not all games are working online for PSP such as Buzz and Little Big Planet yet but its a start.

It was down for me as well.

Unless the next step of the rollout is taking place, the reason for the service going down probably has to do with the service having an overload of password resets.

We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.


As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.


If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

It's definitely not the next phase 2 of the roll out yet. I would assume Sony will not begin phase 2 until this has been resolved.

PS.Blog just released a FAQ. No word on when the Store will come back, but the Store will be updated multiple times a week to make up for lost time. And, the Welcome Back offers and the emails for Debix identity protection plans will be announced soon.

Hmm, judging from the screenshots and descriptions I have no interest in Dead Nation or Infamous, so I guess it's Little Big Planet and Super Stardust HD for me, since I already own Wipeout HD + Fury.

Hm. Lists look pretty good. I think my choices for PS3 will be Super Stardust HD and inFAMOUS. Considering I've been meaning to check the game out, this is definitely the way to do it, being free and all. I'm thinking for PSP my choices will be Killzone and ModNation Racers.

The additional 60 days for existing PS+ customers is very generous, and I really dig it.

While I'm not happy that Sony more or less allowed this to happen, I'll continue to use PSN, but I'll be using prepaid cards (and/or online codes from Amazon) from now on (which I understand others are doing). Was never crazy about the whole PS+ thing in the first place, but I guess I might check it (and Qriocity) out since they're giving us a free month. As for the welcome back gifts, by default I'll probably choose Super Stardust HD and Little Big Planet for my free PS3 games, and LBP PSP and ModNation Racers for my free PSP games.

Coupled with the identity theft protection, this is a pretty generous offer. More than I expected, as you can tell if you look back a few pages and see me erroneously arguing that they'd never offer retail games. I'm sure lots of people will find reason to complain but I'm satisfied.

I was hoping for Resistance instead of Killzone in terms of PSP shooters, but still a good selection of games. And frankly, even if you aren't interested in any of them, complaining about this is unreasonably selfish.
