Pop Song Themes for Western cartoons . . . why not?

Hi, I'm new so...Go easy on me.

Pop opening into western cartoon? That could work....Maybe. But I'm a rock kind of guy, so...Well, I really don't know. But I'm not saying it couldn't work.

Though, there have been some great opening titles that came out in the U.S that I really like. Batman: Beyond...? For example.

Unless there's a strong demand or need to fulfill, I doubt any company would spend that much money.

Even though I've seen/heard Batman Beyond many times, I also like the op. Great music,,, and the animation has Dana and Chelsie dancing. It's a great opening.

The biggest obstacle to op's and endings is the desire to have commercials just after the start, 10 minutes in, 20 minutes on, and just before the end of a show. That takes more time than a standard before middle and after breaks that Japan uses.

Yea, Toonami used to do that too: Show the cartoon for a good 15mins, then 3 to 4mins commercials, then the other half of the show (Like 7 mins of it) then show some more commercials again until the next show starts.

In that time, we have 22mins if the show and 8mins of commercial.


Wow, sorry for being off topic their.

But if there's going to be a U.S long opening/ending for a catoon show with real Pop/Rock/Other music artists...It better be a good show.

it depends on the show and it's tone
for example ben 10 alien force I see with a dark pop opening theme
while star wars clone wars I think should stick with it's classical score

I also love the ending themes in animes like inu yasha and bleach
I just saw bleach ending 9 "(baby it's you) on youtube and I thought it would be good ending theme for spectacular spider man
