Should Bravestarr join the He-Man/She-Ra universe?

It seems every once in while "He-Man" a.k.a. "Masters of the Universe," is rebooted for two TV seasons and then it disappears. As a big fan, I think part of the reason is a shortage of elements and characters to use. Merging all three of these titles together would probably allow the TV series and maybe even the comic books to last longer.
What are your thoughts?

You're kinda too late. Like, 30 years too late.

She-Ra hasn't existed since her initial series was cancelled in the 80s. She never showed up in any incarnation of the MotU franchise since then. Her series was a shallow gender-swapped copy of He-Man--an obvious failed attempt to cater to the female demographic which left no impact on the franchise.

BraveStarr is so far removed from MotU that it doesn't make any sense to include him. His show was obscure and never reached the same levels of popularity as other 80s franchises.

In any case, He-Man/She-Ra is a Mattel creation, whereas Bravestarr is a Filmation original that happened to have a toyline (though I can't recall if it was by Mattel or Hasbro), so there's no way Bravestarr (now owned by Classic Media) could ever be retconned into the Masters of the Universe/Princess of Power universe.

Mattel made the Bravestarr toys back in the day, but I didn't know the show was an original creation by Filmation's that Mattel just happened to pick up the toy rights to (I thought it was the other way around, since Bravestarr toys appeared on store shelves months before the show debuted).

Yes Bravestarr toys were made by Mattel. She-Ra has been released twice in the last two years as part of the Masters of the Universe Classics toy line so Mattel still values this property. Also why couldn't Classic Media just do a joint venture license agreement with Mattel. I'd bet that if Mattel made Classic Media a partner in this, a deal would be reached. Thanks for the great replies everyone. Thoughts?

If Mattel and Classic Media were so inclined, they could come up with a way for Bravestarr to be included into the Masters of the Universe Classics line, like have He-Man visit New Texas during his New Adventures phase, when he was a space adventurer.

I like your idea Dan the Man. Since there's no specific year in Master of the Universe, and since Earthlins and the Horde have spaceships, Adam and Adora could hitch a ride on a ship or take a portal to New Texas.

Alpha Flight, I don't think lack of characters is the problem with Masters of the Universe reboots.

Also, from what I can tell, Mattel doesn't even own Bravestarr so I don't think they could utilize them if they wanted to.

MOTUC doesn't need another new faction at this point

I'd be all for someone else giving Bravestarr a shot again since I liked the visual style and toys for that show. But other than GI JOE, Transformers, and Ninja Turtles I can't think of many 1980's toy/cartoon reboots that have been big success stories again.

Alpha Flight, I just doubt the interest is there. I think BraveStarr was cool and all for its time, but it also was a big failure and its production was sort of the death knell for Filmation. It wasn't a hit.

I think Masters of the Universe is already jam packed with cool characters. Plus with say MOTUC there are already a lot of canon characters we still need to see. Now if say Mattel and Four Horsemen made some sort of deal with the current rights owners for BraveStarr to do some premium collectibles I think that would be neat at some point.

If Masters of the Universe were ever revived again at this point, the only way that is happening is through a live action movie if and when it gets made. I doubt we'd see any type of cross-promoting with BraveStarr. I think BraveStarr itself would be a tough sell. I think you could say toss a Marshall BraveStarr or Tex Hex in MOTUC for fun but then MOTU fans would get upset because they would rather see actual MOTU characters instead of BraveStarr.

The new He-Man movie will speed up production after the director of the new G.I. Joe movie is done with it but I forgot about the MOTU action figure characters that never made it into the cartoon. Great points The Vile One!

Ten bucks says if Mattel was going to make Bravestarr figures for the Masters of the Universe Classics line, they'd be San Diego Comic Con Exclusives, like those G.I.Joe/Transformers crossover toys Hasbro has made for the past couple years.

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
