Should Friends get an 11th series?

Random thought that popped into my head (probably because I’ve rewatched Friends for the 12th time instead of doing something productive):

Should Friends actually get a new series?

Part of me thinks it could be huge. The show is still insanely popular, streaming numbers are wild, and nostalgia basically prints money these days. A continuation ewith the original cast could draw massive attention. Plus, it’d be interesting to see where the characters ended up. (Joey 100% owns a sandwich franchise by now. I refuse to believe otherwise.)

We need to see stuff like Ross yelling “Pivot!!” but no one’s laughing this time?

It has millions of multi-generation fanbase that’s not going anywhereTons of story potential parenting teens, job changes, modern New York chaos. The right writers could balance nostalgia with something genuinely new.


So what do you think?
Would a new Friends series be amazing, or should we leave the gang peacefully drinking bottomless coffee at Central Perk forever?

(As long as we all agree that if it does happen, Joey gets at least three sarcastic one-liners per scene. Minimum.)

I don't really think this show is going to get 11th season, the show ended long time ago (in 2004), the actors got old plus Matthew Perry's death happened in 2023.

There's a special reunion show called Friends: The Reunion, and also Joey spin-off series but that's all I could offer when it comes to Friends content.

Friends worked because of the bond and connection between the SIX characters. You can't do it without one of them especially if it's because the actor is no longer there. Not to mention even before Matthew Perry's tragic death NONE OF THEM HAD ANY INTEREST IN DOING A REVIVAL! Seriously if there was ANY interest in that and they had talked to Max about that I assure you we'd have heard at least a dozen stories about them doing some sort of revival but yeah they all moved on and if it's not with any of the core cast you aren't going to see Friends so yeah no 11th season, no spinoff, nothing like that.

And I'm sure there's been attempts even beyond Joey we haven't heard of in the last 20 years to get something off the board but it ain't happening and I feel that need to have a pin put in it ASAP as people should know it just isn't happening and shouldn't try expecting it will.

Or maybe their descendants. Including Chandler's and how they had to cope with his death.

A one off special may be nice but I don’t think another season will work without Chandler.
