"Stu Go" News And Discussion Thread

The Disney Channel to Disney Plus streaming has been a mess.
The had Hamster and Gretel go have episodes first on Plus then air on DC (which was their typical way , Primos did this too, not a fan) Phineas and Ferb also did the premiere on TV then have rest of the episodes stream then air those weekly on TV.

Big City Greens has been airing episodes first on TV then they end up on streaming later, Kiff is doing that too.

Still refusing to do next day on Plus.

The idea I guess was to not cannibalize TV ratings by giving the linear channel a period of exclusivity before the shows hit streaming, since TV ratings play a significant role in if a show gets renewed or cancelled.

A sound idea in theory, but the practice has been real haphazard.

That's more a Nickelodeon thing, hence why it takes 720 years for something to go to Paramount+ from Nick. Disney has like with Phineas and Ferb, they aired the show first on DC, then put that episode and put a bunch of other ones next day on D+ then every Saturday they are airing the episodes they put on D+, if they hold to the pattern, they'll end up running more episodes on TV, then at some point add it to D+.

It's a shame that the show was cancelled. We saw Merian's backstory, and I was hoping to see the other five's.

Turns out StuGo is NOT cancelled. It's currently in limbo for now.

for what it's worth, Ryan Gillis posted on Bluesky that the show hasn't been cancelled yet, but it is dependent on Disney+ views when it finally arrives on D+ in July.

New shorts are coming soon to Disney+ (and perhaps also YouTube).

The shorts have been moved up a week. They will now premiere July 24-29.

Disney Channel will air a 5-hour marathon of StuGo next week, and their promo includes a preview of the shorts (which I guess means they'll be interspersed during the marathon). Looks like the shorts will have the kids sending video mail to their families.

Aw, there goes my headcanon that they were test tube babies!!!

At least I'll always have my joke theory that Dr. Lullah is a future alternate universe bad ending version of Francis that's somehow stuck in the present.

They've been sitting on these for a while. They didn't even update the Disney+ premiere date from "Spring 2025".

On the second day of StuGo shorts-mas Disney gave to me , short 2 with Chip

Now I want a full episode of the baker's dozen amount of times Chip's foot got stuck in the toilet.

On the Third day of Shorts-mas StuGo gave to me Francis

Never mind as my headcanon/theory lives on in Francis' case!

Another headcanon is that everyone related to/went to school with/lives nearby Francis also acts like Francis.

Dang it, this one has two parents!!!

They better be Guy Ramsey Fieri (nee Guy Ramsey Ferry) and Lori Ann Brisson!!!

On the 5th Day of Shorts-mas , StuGo have to me [Classified] Merian.

I'm gonna be real mad upset if this doesn't get a 2nd season - it's bad enough Primos ain't ever gettin' one, which was a better show for me, as this has otherwise been a great alternative to that of Primos, dangit.
I'm not saying much here, but that's my feelings on all of this, in the end.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Nicktoons in the US has recently aired something that no one expected: an AI generated ad for an overpriced plush toy.
Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
