Could anyone tell me how Supergirl came to be? i dont remember at all.

Animated I assume.
While studying something in space Superman found Kara's ship and the rest of her family who escaped from their dying planet which was a sister planet to Kryptom. Kara is the last survivor of Argo. She is the only one on the ship that survived. Superman brought her back and made her part of the family.

This is all from memory, and I may be conflating the Animated explanation with the Silver Age explanations. Take with a grain of salt the size of an armadillo.
I believe Argoans were originally Kryptonian, but split off a long time ago and evolved along different lines. The major difference this makes is that Kara isn't affected by Kryptonite. I'm also not sure if her Argoan heritage is what makes her less powerful than Superman, or if that's just adolescence at work.

If you were talking about the comic-book incarnation, let me know and I can try to think back to how that happened and post it here. If you were in fact talking about the animated origin, just say so and I'll save my brain power

Kara is vulnerable to "K" but not nearly so much as superman. while he can only stand a short time exposed to it (an hour lets say) before death, she could survive 12+ hours.-- in effect its fairly worthless against her.

WB has done so well with releasing the Paramount Popeye cartoons on home media that they should be chosen to distribute the long-delayed animated Popeye film that at various points was to be made by Sony and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who has a long association with WB sister property Cartoon Network).
Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
