good ep...if Angel was drawn a bit older, she'd be droolable

A good ep. I enjoyed it while I watched it, but I wasn't blown away or anything. It's not my favorite episode, but I still enjoyed it.

I sort of knew the idea of the episode from the start, but it was still fun. I think the best parts of this episode were the encounters between Casey and Hun, especially as their history about each other was somewhat revealed. It was also cool seeing the Turtles go undercover for once, especially since it wasn't those trenchcoats and hats they occasionally wore in the first series. And Angel was definately cute: could have been older, but maybe the Purple Dragons recruit young....

Another good episode, and I'm thankful the focus fell more on Casey's predicament then trying to moralize the story. Few observations:

-Casey knows that Hun burned down his family's store, and Hun knows Casey is the vigilante who's beating up the Purple Dragons. But if Hun already suspected this, why didn't he track Casey down long ago? And what happens to Casey now that all the Dragons know who he is?

-The Turtles don't seem to have a problem meeting humans now. Even though Angel was helping Casey, they don't really seem to mind that she knows where their warehouse garage is. BTW...the warehouse is on the corner of Eastman and Laird? LOL

-A little bit of weak dialogue in places, but I think the voice actor for Casey is doing a much better job now.

-The Turtles are wearing street clothes now. Awesome.

-I'm beginning to notice something about the sound effects on the show, and that is any punches and kicks sound extremely weak. You just don't get that satisfying crunch like on TNBA and Justice League, where you could actually imagine bones snapping and breaking. Maybe this is part of the Fox Box censors, but the action scenes with Hun would've felt much stronger if we'd gotten better sound effects. Also, an animation nitpick: the Battle Shell busted into the warehouse like it tore through paper. Again, better sound effects might have helped this.

-Nice nod to continuity in that Hun recognizes it was Raph who escaped from him. They didn't need to add this, but it was nice to see they did.

Overall, good ep. No duds yet. Next weeks Garbageman is looking good too.

I loved todays episode 5 stars. My favorite part though was the exact end when Raph smacks Mikey for his ruining of the moment of Zen. I laughed so hard when that happened.

Mikey-"I wonder what kind of pie it was."

Raph's hand-"SMACK"

Mikey- "Owww"

It was okay. The episode synopsis suggested that Angel wasn't really bad anyway, so the confrontation between Hun and Jones was a little longer, and thus a little better.

Doh, no Shredder...

Later.

I gave it 4 stars though it was leaning towards 3 1/2. I would of liked more with Angel and more with the turtles in disguise.

I found this ep rather weak as far as filler goes. It had it's moments, but I can do without watching it again as far as repeats go.

On the bright side, it's nice to see them rotating some characters, giving others a break and brining others into the forefront. In the old series, April was in about 98% of the episodes, with only two or so she didn't appear in. Same goes for Bebop and rocksteady in Shredder episodes. Good to see that won't be happening in the new show.

Any I agree about he Casey VA. I had some reserveations about Casey, Raph, and Don's VA's, but not I love all of 'em. I think Raph is probably my favorite this time around :).

This episode was so-so filler. The fights seemed weird since they didn't use the best animation (I'm glad they're saving it for Shredder episodes, though) and they used a lot of cutaways-things like the Turtles jump to kick and then cut to a shot of Hun falling down. Maybe it was because of the weaker animation, or because of Fox Box censors. Still they get away with more than most american made shows.

I thought this episode was good. I liked the part where Casey said to Hun: "At least I have a mother."

That doesn't stop Digimon fans...

Anywho, this was a solid episode. save for the lack of actual fight scenes and the Turtles getting worked over by Hun... I dunno, skill is supposed to counter strength, but the Turtles didn't show much of it. I know the writers can't be expected to know about pressure points and what not, but Casey sending him flying with a swing of his bat when he didn't even appear harmed by anything the Turtles did earlier... Heh, at least this Casey didn't strike out.

D'oh! They were showing an episode of Archie Mysteries or some such over here (well, that's what the guides said anyways).

Have to catch it next week, I guess.

Good episode though ive liked them all so far, even if the battle scenes werent the greatest.

I liked the episode. Anyone else notice the Eastman and Laird reference? They mentioned it a few times.

The episode was.. okay. I liked seeing the turtles dressed in street clothes as well. Cute. Heh heh. And that comment they made about humans wearing clothes. ^^; I might be the only one here who thinks Angel was.. I dunno.. annoying... *hides* :P

> I might be the only one here who thinks Angel was.. I dunno.. annoying... <

I think she was supposed to be, seeing how she and Casey are kinna on the same wavelength.

In fact, she's so much like 'Jackie Chan's Jade, they just might be related.

April's not in every episode, but it seems that Casey is. Oh well, they're doing a good job of it anyway.

****1/2

Greetings TMNT fans! I have been watching this show since the start, but I've never posted any comments until this weeks (no I don't have an actual reason).

It hasn't been the best one yet, but I enjoyed this week's episode. We got more of a look into what Casey's relationship is with the Purple Dragons. I found it interesting and kind of cool how much he cared about Angel. Casey is always such a tough guy, you just don't picture him looking out for a little girl.

"It's those Kung-Fu Lizards!"

> Casey is always such a tough guy, you just don't picture him looking out for a little girl. <

Actually, I have no trouble picturing that. The whole reason Casey got into the vigilante buisness was his anger at toughs who prey on weaker people.
