The Super Bowl XLI Commercial Thread

Despite being a lousy website, the Career Builder commercials are funny.

That Goulet/Emerald Nuts one was hilarious.

I knew that Federline commercial was coming, but it was still really funny.

Three years in a row now, Nationwide has the best super bowl ad.

"He has Bud Light." "And a chainsaw!"

The beer companies consistently make the best commercials.

"You're the delivery guy, you don't work here."

"He's got an ax." "What's the ax for?" "Bottle opener."

K-Fed.. meh... not as good as last years Nationwide commercials..

Question: Was that really Robert Goulet in that Emerald Nuts commercial?
It looked more like one of those celebrity impersonators.

I liked the Coca-Cola soda machine ad, and "Meet the Robinsons" made me want to go see it when it comes out, even though it is a CGI movie (yeah, I think it's time for 2D to make a comeback, too...)

Fed Ex Ground and that Nationwide ad with the other Fed-Ex (get it? lol) were...meh...

E-Trade's "Things you can do with one finger" was pretty funny. "Get to know your doctor" and "Save Holland" were the best examples.

It was indeed he.

Favorites this year:

-The Emerald Nuts Robert Goulet ad.

-The Bud Light axe/chainsaw ad.

-Taco Bell: Ricardo Montablan?

-All Career Builder ads.

The best was either the Coke GTA or the Snickers...or the Rock paper scissors.

Worst = sales genie

Fedex.. Not just a Pipe dream!

First Place: Fedex Rocks with their Office on the Moon
If they had thrown in the Mooninites From Aqua Teen Hunger Force, it would have been Perfect. But I gotta Love this company..(Considering i used to work for them!)

2nd Place : GTA Coke.. This one is wonderful! (Gamers of the world UNITE and have a Coke! (And Rockstar should develop this game! I would BUY IT!

3rd Place: Garmin Ultraman.. Way to go Garmin, you guys love doing this stuff.. Now if it had been Garmin Power Rangers.. it would have been funnier..

Honorable Mention(s): Budweiser's Crabs..(We're NOT WORTHY!)

:coyote:

The FedEx one was OK, but not as good as last year's. If not for the spaceman getting hit by the meteor, it would've been an average commercial, whereas the caveman one had several funny bits.

My favorite this year was the GPS Ultraman commercial. Most of the other ones were average at best.

Very weak line-up of Super Bowl ads this year IMO.

Some of the better ads:

-Rock, Scissors, Paper (Bud Light)
-The Coke/GTA ad
-Garmin Ultraman parody (has "WTF?" written all over it)
-The Promotion Pit CareerBuilder.com ad
-Robert Goulet (Emerald Nuts)
-The crabs mistaking a Bubweiser cooler for a bigger crab

BTW, anyone else find it odd that there were NO summer film ads during this year's Super Bowl?

Well I missed most of the ads because I had to work late and because my best friends dad kept getting in the way while we were watching it but the ones that I did see and that I liked were the taco bell lions, the robert Goulet Emerald Nuts and the budweiser crabs. I'm gonna have to go on some websites and check out the ads now.

Insanely lame and cheap-looking ads; they all looked like the average ads that air during daytime TV.
And if you think PeterFries is hard to please, check out THIS dude:

A few of his complaints are legitimate, but he hated almost everything and this article just makes you want to say "OH COME ON" loudly to his face.

"Beard combover" and the Bud ads (as usual) got the best laughs from me. It was weird, but almost everything else was better than average yet on the same playing field, so you couldn't say one was better than the other. I call a 37-way tie.

Loser of the year: "Salesgenie," your business is over before it even began. So much dough spent on nothing....

Runner-up for loser: The GM assembly robot who gets fired, has his life spiral downhill and jumps off a bridge. GM, are you crazy? You actually DO THIS to real people, not robots, on a regular basis. Everyone knows that. You really went this far to remind them? The thing's just depressing to boot--the fact that it was a "dream" solves nothing. I'm getting sad just thinking about it. Poor robot; I'll give you a home.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
