Can't wait to play SC :).

Colleagues,

played shantae and the pirates curse. overall it was a great action platformer with perhaps the best use of 3d in a 3ds game and fantastic fanservice. a few negatives i have is that the special moves felt useless and there could have been more hints for certain objectives. i also didn't like the various difficulty spikes and some of the collectibles were too hard too find without a guide. hopefully the sequel addresses these problems.

In The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, I unlocked The Lost, which is the disembodied spirit of Isaac. The puzzle to unlock him was tricky, put it was easy after the first part.

Playing as The Lost is freaking frustrating, though. He has zero health and can't gain any more, so you better know how to dodge. He's not all bad though. He can fly over obstacles and doesn't have to pay for items in devil rooms. With the latter ability, he can potentially become a glass cannon.

Unfortunately for me, I can't even make it to the first final boss without dying. My losing streak is 25 runs.

While I've been play several games lately, I'm having a blast with One Finger Death Punch. Let me give y'all a sample of what the game is all about.

I just started playing Fairy Fencer F (PS3) and it's pretty fun so far. The controls and gameplay are pretty simple and it kinda reminds me of the "Tales of" series. I also feel the it has a lot of hilarious dialogue. How did a cute fairy like Eryn end up with a jerk like Fang?! Anyway, my progress so far is: I made it to halfway through Sol Plains where I leveled up to Level 2.....and I ended up making Fang get killed because I forgot to use a potion. It's ok, though. I'm just getting started. Can't wait to get through more of the game!:D

Been playing some hotline miami 2 and it is depraved, brutal, unforgiving, psychdilic, radical and I love every minute of it.

ExCave (Game Boy 3DS)

Years ago, something happened at a royal research laboratory and it became infested with monsters. So it's no surprise to discover that said Lab had teleportation pads everywhere.

Sort of a cross of a JRPG Zelda clone and a cheap version of Teleglitch, Excave has a fantasy hero go into said lab. To find out what happened? Well, I guess - there's not much of a story here. Really, the hero is going down to get gold and cool stuff. It's a decent casual game I enjoy, but it is pretty generic and repetitive game play.

Mighty Switch Force! (Game Boy DS store)

Got it during WayFoward's anniversary sale, MSF is the story as a future policegirl trying to capture some hooligans. Really cute hooligan sisters.

I don't play many platformers (my reaction speeds are less than optimal), I did enjoy the art style of the game, and it's challenging yet not insane difficult to beat controls. So I certainly recommend it.

A friend got me Ori and the Blind Forest on Steam, so that's my current game right now. The graphics look gorgeous. There are moments where I want to pause and just stare, but it does a number on my laptop because it lags like crazy (and this is a new laptop.) It's also immensely frustrating because you die very easily, very quickly. Everything is out to get you: dark beasts, thorns, spikes, tainted water, whatever. I died at least a 100 times (which the game so lovingly keep track of, as if to tease you for failing so much) with a meager three hour playthrough right now. The controls are tight enough and all, but I hope the destination was worth it because I'm not sure the journey is.

I've been playing SCP - Containment Breach, a freeware horror game based on the SCP Foundation. I think it's pretty good at placing you in a intimidating and frightening atmosphere, making the scares more effective. You gotta stay alert because you never who or what might pop up. There's a bunch of SCPs to encounter, but I only died twice so far: once to SCP-173 (think Weeping Angel) and once to SCP-939 (a monster that can mimic human voices). Right now, I'm stuck because I'm lost and I can't find higher level keycards to unlock some doors. I guess I'll have to be brave and venture into more dangerous territory to get them.

Bloodborne kicks a lot of ass

Mortal Kombat 2 (Genesis, 32x)
Resident Evil 2 (PS1)

I love those games so much. It's amazing how one can love certain games enough to still enjoy them 17-21 years later, it speaks volumes on how properly crafted these games are.
A bunch of PS1 games I used to enjoy over a decade past are barely playable now that I look back at them.

In Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep: Aqua's Story (PSP), after about 10 tries I finally cleared the Skull Command Board in normal mode. I still need to complete the Arena Mode version plus I still have to complete both versions of the Secret Board.

I also finally had a chance to try Mario Kart 7 (3DS) and it's pretty enjoyable. I seem to be having trouble beating the Time Trial mode. However, I did manage to clear the Mushroom Cup and unlocked the Flower Cup.:)

In Lakeview Cabin Collection, I found a nice Easter egg in the hub level. Outside the theater, there's a manhole that leads to a sewer. Down that sewer lives a mutant that looks like Jason Voorhees. Killing him is a puzzle and he turns into a rat monster when he's halfway dead. I managed to kill the slasher with a combination of sewer acid and a shotgun blast (the shotgun was easy to find, the ammo was not). Doing so earned me the achievement "The Sewers Scream at Me".

I'm currently playing Smash Bros 3DS and it's really fun. I always wanted to play a handheld Smash Bros game. I also have the Wii U version, but I now mostly play the 3DS version because I mostly play with my 3DS than Wii U. Here's my friend code If anybody wants to have a match with me: 4554-0544-9563

Spider-Man 3 (PC)
I'm glad I stashed a save file with full upgrade of health and reflexes before playing story missions past the tutorial, checked the time it took me to complete that task in game time statistics, and it said 7hrs 11mins, that is a very long time.
Anyway, I'm glad I still feel as I did when I last played it, it's my favorite Spider-Man game, more plays feel like different experiences.
Out of all the free roam/open world/sandbox games, it is probably the oldest one I played that has the New Game+ feature, although it's not called that way, and the New Game+ skips the tutorial segments.

I've been learning to enhance my laptop's performance and now my games have a consistently higher framerate! Playing games like Awesomenauts, Team Fortress 2, and Mark of the Ninja has been so much better because of it. Heck, my kill/death ratio in Awesomenauts has gotten better now that I'm not lagging so much.

On my iPad, I've been playing Stealth Inc. and man, do I love this game. The level design and soundtrack is well done and very fun. In fact, I consider it one of my favorite stealth games along with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. The only downside is the touchscreen buttons are easy to miss when you're concentrating. I've died many times because I missed the jump button. It makes me wish I had a controller for my iPad.

Batman Arkham Asylum
I'm impressed, used to feel annoyed playing this game, but I guess the way the sequels amazed me (I know Origins is not a sequel, but it's easier to say that), and the comic book games inspired by its influence are really fun imo (Super Soldier, and the two movie Spider-Man games from Beenox), but now I love it, and am very glad I played it again from start to finish. I found all collectibles this go around.
The 7 minutes of forced slow walk as gameplay begins are still annoying,
I used to love Spider-Man 3 a lot more (and I still love that game, it's an underrated gem), now I prefer the higher quality product.

Amazing Spider-Man 2
Being unable to play Sleeping Dogs annoyed me, I saw the combat footage, and after watching amazing grounded combat from Daredevil show, I wanted to play a game with equal fighting system, and SD looks like the best game to go for in that kind of combat.
But I got Amazing 2, it works on my PC, and I got in the mood to play it. I think this game is fun, gets more fun after getting used to the annoying Hero/Menace system.

Here's a story that happened to me today about the biggest scare I had while playing SCP - Containment Breach. I was playing the game with my friend watching me (he doesn't like scary games). I just got the keycard that gave me access to SCP-914's room (it's a machine that converts objects). In the room, I locked the door behind me, thinking it would keep me safe. While using SCP-914 to upgrade some of my items, I heard a heavy breathing sound. I turned around and found SCP-106 (a zombie-like abomination) phasing up from the ground! I freaking screamed and panicked while frantically trying to unlock the door and sprinted out as fast as I could. Fortunately, SCP-106 is slow, but I had enough and quit the game.

After I calmed down, I chuckled it off while my friend made fun of me for thinking I was safe. I might get the courage to play SCP - Containment Breach another day, but man, that was scarier than any horror movie I ever watched. You should have seen my reaction!

Grim Fandango, an early birthday gift from a friend. I have never played the game, but I'm aware of its cult status among a number of fans.

I just finished Chapter 3. I am really digging their interpretation of the afterlife and putting in a noir twist adds a lot of unique flavor to the whole thing.

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
