So I was browsing the magazine stand the other day and came across the latest issue of Play, and it had early screenshots of the new Tomb Raider game: Tomb Raider: Underworld. Only one environment looked to be featured so far (some rainy ruins), but it looks pretty cool.
Good news is that Crystal Dynamics is still developing the series, so the controls and game engine should be like that of Legend and Anniversary, not the archaic one from TR 1-5. And apparently there will be more realistic environment interaction, like slippery ledges making it harder to keep a firm grip. Not to mention more realistic Lara animation due to motion capture (which is quite impressive because I thought the animation in Legend and Anniversary were huge steps above that of TR 1-5).
Oh yeah, and... new Lara outfit which shows her belly button.
Anyway, the game doesn't come out for a while (Q4 2008) but this thread is for any new info when it arrives (i.e. trailers, new screens). For now you can check out some screenshots and info here:
