Toonami Momocon 2014 Panel Speculation

Well since it is just a few days before the official Toonami panel, what do you guys think will be announced or what do you want to be announced?

Hmm honestly I feel like they are trying to bring dbz back...

I wouldn't mind if they did but for me its just a kind of

"been there done that kind of thing"

But if they do bring it back some day and it does great all power to them

But I would want kill la kill to show up!

But maybe its too soon for it to show up on the block

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Kill la Kill. I haven't seen anything of the show, but I've heard a lot of praise for it, I think it's one of their most requested shows currently and there's going to be a premiere of the dub at Anime Expo. It would be good timing with the dub premiere and create some more hype for the dub. It could be ready to take Blue Exorcist's spot by the time it finishes its run and having another popular series on the lineup potentially before it is released on DVD could be good for ratings.

As for DBZ, I really hope that they aren't going to get the series back. It's overplayed and on a weekly block, it would drag on, eve if they got DBZ Kai. I wouldn't mind them airing the movies every once in awhile, especially if they'd only take up an hour of the block, but DBZ does not need to be on the block.

Getting DBZ could be excused if it's an excuse to launch a weeknight block, maybe an hour with One Piece or something, and not affecting the Saturday block.

I would have thought that, but with the dub premiere and massive event for the show at Anime Expo, I have my doubts they'd announce it at this one.

I'm guessing they'll debut some new Space Dandy footage if any is ready yet. Maybe they talk about the post-Bleach future, but I'm really thinking it's too soon for that. I'd love if they manage to just surprise everyone and announce that they're going to air Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. That show easily belongs on the block unlike a lot of the lame fanboy requests (no DBZ series on Toonami ever again please).

Edit: Longshot hope: Gargantia. With old Neon Alley dead, I'm not sure if they still plan on having the series dub premiere on the new version of the network and I'd be overjoyed if it aired on Toonami.

I'll be at Momocon myself with other Toonami Faithful staff members, pretty excited for this!

Here's what I expect to see in order of likelihood

1) Tease for Intruder 2 and the tie-in comic

2) Announcement of a big show, probably Fairy Tail or Magi unless they can pull off a surprise acquisition of Hunter x Hunter

3) 11pm expansion coming in July

While I wont rule out Kill La Kill, there are many opportunities for Aniplex to announce that before Blue Exorcist ends in August.

DBZ or Sailor Moon could happen but I'm hesitant to say they'd happen this year.

- Kill la Kill replacing Blue Exorcist in August (if it's not ready by then, then air Madoka Magica (as it's only 12 episodes) and replace that with KLK when it ends)

- Expansion to 11:00 PM

- Bleach replacement (probably Fairy Tail or Dragon Ball Z: Kai. I want Hunter x Hunter to show up, but I'm not holding my breath)

- Roberta's Blood Trail coming once Black Lagoon finishes it's second season

- Megas XLR/Motorcity coming to the block (I know it's not likely, but I kinda have a gut feeling for this one))

- Sailor Moon (Maybe crystal )
