So it turns out that there will be no Space Dandy Tonight now that Hellsing Ultimate will have an extra 30 minutes just for Tonight I think.

Yeah, they actually announced this a few weeks ago when episode 4 of Hellsing Ultimate was set to play on October 4th, but then the Beware the Batman burn-off marathon happened and pushed things back a week.

I'm a bit surprised they are doing this because episode 4 is only a few minutes longer than episode 1 and that didn't get a 90 minute slot, but I guess it's just that much longer to warrant it (even though this means we're in for 34 minutes of commercials...unless Toonami has something special planned to fill some of that time). Potentially the only other episode that'll need a 90 minute slot is the final episode, so this is just an abnormality.

never got a chance to see a gundam series other than sd (underrated series). there's like a zillion different movies and tv series so i'm hoping toonami or cartoon network can make a deal with sunrise to air one of them in the future. if not, i'll see if if i can stream some of them or buy them when they become available.

Sunrise released it through Right Stuf. No broadcast rights were licensed.

Considering how every other UC Gundam (08th MS Team, aside) bombed horribly on Toonami/Adult Swim, why bother?

Because it's very good, times are different and there's a world of difference between screening a top-notch OVA on this block and trying to force feed a general younger audience a good but very dated TV series from 1979. They've certainly run obscurer things.

Also, 0080 ran more than once between the old Midnight Run and Adult Swim.

Both are playing. In November for DST, we get an extra hour. So basically we get two 2ams, if that makes any sense to you.

i forgot daylight savings time ends that day. they should have aired some fan favorite bleach episodes for that extra hour instead. it would be cool if they used the dub music for the second airing of coolers revenge since the original bgm really dampens the intensity.

Was kind of hoping they went crazy and did a TIE in which TOM is forced to watch the pilot for The Neighbors as Wiseau's revenge for replacing his April Fools screening, but eh. I'll enjoy the extra hour of sleep.

Considering Bleach is going to end it's run on Toonami,I am wondering how Toonami will handle it's send-off.I guess they could air a Bleach movie in December during the Month of Movies.
