Considering how long Aniplex is taking on its dub of Kill la Kill, it may be late 2015 before SAO II even airs (if they haven't started dubbing the GGO arc yet at the very least).

I have heard or seen nothing to suggest the dub of Kill la Kill isn't already finished and any so-called delay isn't based of Trigger taking their sweet time on trying to make the show look like more than five cents was spent on it.

Bleach will be rerunning from episode 282 beginning November 15th @ 2:30am.

According to Jason DeMarco, they aren't rerunning the show from the beginning because it would cost them extra money.

Isn't 282 the episode they started with after they started airing new episodes after taking a two-month hiatus back in December 2012-January 2013? If so, I can assume they've simply lost the rights to all the previous episodes, and thus would have to pay money to reacquire them, while they should still have the license to these episodes for...two years, perhaps? I could see them rerunning through all that they still have at least once, in which case Bleach probably won't be off the airwaves until 2016, at the least. Then again, they dropped their rights to OG Naruto reruns early, so who knows?

It very well could be they only have the rights to 282+ - in which that's not that bad of a place to go back to. 282-366 is a total of 85 episodes, that's near 2 years worth of showings, and then any weeks it doesn't play at all. Good stretch of time as a placeholder but also a second chance for those who may have given up that want to try and get back into it and see how far they get.

That's surprising. That does make it more of a possibility that they've lost the rights to the other episodes since they're airing the episodes that won't cost them extra money. They do have a couple of years worth of rerun material for Bleach, which is probably good for their ratings.

I recall Adult Swim having to buy Bleach episodes in batches when they started airing it. It makes sense that those rights for earlier episodes have long since expired since they weren't airing them. There was no sense wasting money for something not on TV. I would have preferred seeing the first storyline up till the end of the Soul Society arc though. At least the show was semi-decent back then.

I kind of figured that was the case. I remember hearing about how they don't like Yu-Gi-Oh! before, which is fine. I like it, but I can understand why people wouldn't like it either. Although, the claim that they could air it because they have Samurai Jack really doesn't make any sense to me. They're both TV-Y7 shows, but the differences between the shows are pretty obvious. Samurai Jack has more action, possibly more appeal to older audiences, or at least the crowd that watches Toonami, and I think that it's pretty cheap for them to air it due to being a Cartoon Network original series.

Yu-Gi-Oh! DM, on the other hand, is heavily edited dub that's basically a different show from the Japanese version that wouldn't fit on the current Toonami. It was fine on the original Toonami since the target audience was still kids back then, but now, I don't think it would appeal that much to the teenagers/young adults that watch the block. Not to mention it would stick out like a sore thumb. Uncut Yu-Gi-Oh! DM would fit better, or at least not stand out as much as the edited dub, but since that isn't a possibility, there's really no point in requesting the show. I'm still amazed people actually want it on the block to be honest.

It was announced on Oct 24 that despite being told they'd have all 10, they didn't (see link below)

Hellsing Ultimate is cutting off its run two weeks early.

I believe CN probably forced them to air it. I remember DeMarco mentioning that they only aired Pokémon and Hamtaro because the higher ups told them to.

It was most likely because Cartoon Network wanted those shows on the block. That's the same reason why Hamtaro aired back on the original block. DeMarco didn't have nearly as much control over the original Toonami as he does now, so they don't have to be forced to air shows by the network that they don't like or don't want on the lineup again.

I'm still wondering why people would even want Yu-Gi-Oh! DM on the lineup in the first place. Even if the Toonami crew not liking the show wasn't a factor, why would people want a heavily edited dub on a block that airs their shows pretty much uncut? Why would Konami/4K Media approve of one of the series airing on a block aimed at teenagers/young adults when the audience for the dubs is still clearly for kids? It just doesn't make sense, even if they want the show primarily out of nostalgia. It certainly doesn't need more exposure and there are plenty of ways for people to watch it like with the new DVD releases, Hulu and now Netflix. There is just absolutely no good reason for them to air Yu-Gi-Oh! DM and I'm still surprised people thought that could even be a possibility in the first place.

To be fair I think that the reason that Cartoon Network had Hamtaro on Toonami was at the time back in 2002 it was just established at that point all anime shows that weren't on Adult Swim would air in some form or another on Toonami. Which changed in 2003 as both Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon premiered on weekday nights I believe but during the time it was thought you'd get any anime related series on Toonami first or at some point even if they aired at other parts of the network at some point later. The Yu-Gi-Oh GX and Yu-Gi-Oh thing were also done at a time when Toonami was trying to have it's ligher half of the block appeal towards younger kids thus targetting more kid friendly shows. In the latest years of the pre AS Toonami they did that even more obviously (remember that week Backugan aired on Toonami?) but it was still obvious it was a more forced decision. Now that it's apparent they're targetting and older demographic I really can't see Yu-Gi-Oh airing. Hell I'd see Yu-Gi-Oh abirdged airing on this variation of Toonami before the actual dub of Yu-Gi-Oh shows up again.

I thought it was because Hamtaro was really killing it in the Boys 9-14 demographic. I seem to recall it doing well there so it was added there, and then they used Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy to lead into it because that was at the time CN's highest rated B9-14 show, and Hamtaro had pushed Sailor Moon off Toonami in the slot preceding it before EEnE knocked it off the air permanently.

Cartoon Network spent A LOT of money to acquire Hamtaro and wanted to get their money's worth. So it was given the opening slot on Toonami.
Sailor Moon got bumped to the timeslot right before Toonami.
Hamtaro did NOT do well in the ratings on Toonami and was constantly getting beaten by Sailor Moon, so the network took Sailor Moon off the air (never to return) and replaced it with Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
Even after that, Hamtaro still did not do well on Toonami and was eventually removed from the block and had to air the rest of its new episodes on weekday mornings.
