Deadman was actually trending for a short amount of time after it aired.

As for how One Piece should air. Airing daily would be ideal if [as] ever gives anime that opportunity. Personally, I believe it should be given two premiers eveyr Saturday without airing any fillers (except Loguetown and perhaps the post Sky Island filler eps).

No filler can't happen because the anime put canon scenes in the middle of it. And you can't just show one episode from a filler arc, that's too confusing.

You can really tell that Toonami is a labor of love for Williams Street, otherwise they would have taken the lazy way out and just aired the same 3 bumps for each show.

I can understand people wanting old shows on Toonami for nostalgia, but it seems kind of weird to be complaining about it, especially when Toonami does need to have new shows on its lineup instead of relying on nostalgia. Besides, DBZ has had a ton of exposure and doesn't really need to be on the block.

I kinda feel like all the nostalgia that the block NEEDS is stuff brought about by the packaging, like the promos and stuff. Honestly that RERUNS promo was hella nostalgic and that's where I feel like the main nostalgia should be coming from, TOM and Toonami and promos and junk. A few classic shows here and there wouldn't be terrible but honestly the BLOCK and presentation is the nostalgia, not the shows. I realize some people may disagree but..

If they do bring some of the classics back, ala DBZ, Outlaw Star, Gundam Wing or Tenchi (FUNi is releasing blu-rays of the first 2 OVAs later this year); I'd love to throw a nod to that old ThunderCats promo. "OG Toonami is back on the air."

Also, about stuff not trending, yeah look; don't fret over it. Twitter may affect ratings to a CERTAIN degree but when you have a HUGE UFC match going on around the same time, or ANY sporting event? It's gonna be hard to get stuff trending. Otherwise, keep doing your part by tweeting and telling people to watch.

Toonami's 2007 bumps used very few clips from the actual shows. They had just a few for each show's bumps. In comparison Adult Swim's Toonami has a ton of variety in the bumps. So how many sets of bumps is that now? 4 or 5 across 7 weeks? Not bad WS, not bad at all.

I'm not sure what I really want for the block, aside from maybe getting another new show or two in the not too distant future. Even though I watch most of the block every week, I'm not a huge Toonami fan. I mainly watch it for the new shows, as they are pretty interesting and entertaining at times, and out of support for what the people are trying to do with reviving the block. Since I was never that into the block, the nostalgic charms with the promos and the idea of older shows aren't that appealing to me. They're nice and it's good for the people who really go for the nostalgic charm of the promos, but it doesn't do much for me.

FLCL making its return back to Toonami is not surprising. With Cowboy Bebop coming to a close, will they decide to put a new show in or just leave it in the same slot? FLCL isn't really new, but at least GITS won't be left there to start all over again.

I hope not. Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorite shows, but [adult swim] should give it a rest for a while and air something else for variety. Even if they don't get new shows, they still have Big 0 season 2, Durarara!, maybe Inuyasha and perhaps Star Wars: The Clone Wars that they can cycle through. What I'd hope for, if Toonami isn't getting new shows in August, would probably be the following:

12.5 Casshern SIns (new!)
1.0 Deadman Wonderland
1.5 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2.0 FLCL (later replaced by Big O season 2)
2.5 Durarara!

That could easily work until November when Casshern Sins finishes.

Ideally, what we'd see in August would be this:

I honestly don't think Durarara!! will air on Adult Swim again because, like Andrew said before, it'll be ratings suicide. Big O season 2, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and InuYasha (if they still have it) will most likely do better than Durarara!! I could see Adult Swim starting Cowboy Bebop from the beginning if they have nothing new planned for August.

It'd also be a wise move for them to move Casshern Sins to after Bleach, especially since it's not doing so well and it could benefit from Bleach's canon episodes.

Here's what I think they'll do if there's a new show:

I'm not quite sure what they'll put in the 2:30 AM slot, but it'll most likely be Cowboy Bebop from the beginning. If they still have InuYasha, they might want to rerun the series there.

I think that if we get a new show acquisition in August that it's going to be Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt as Funimation and Adult Swim has expressed interest in it. InuYasha: The Final Act might be possible, but I'm not betting on it.
