Weird. Adult Swim's on-air schedule was updated again today, but I don't see any changes other than Ghost in the Shell's red letters being changed into black and Bleach episode 255 being listed to repeat at 3:00 AM for the rest of the month. I wonder if FLCL is going to air at 5AM after all?

Uh oh, I hope that this isn't a sign of another hiatus for Bleach..

Oh, another change is that something called AZIZ is airing on DVR theater next week, but on the schedule page, it says that Mighty Boosh is airing... I guess we'll have to wait and see what's really airing...

They also have the right numbers for Bleach.

Looks like they're pulling a DVR Theater with FLCL and I'm okay with that but I question why they would do that for just one slot but maybe they're waiting until Cowboy Bebop ends this run before giving one of it's slots to another show.

I really hope it's still a placeholder because another full run of GitS seems like a really bad idea.

I didn't participate much in the tweeting the other night but I did see that some Toonami shows did trend and that there were a lot of people tweeting about Toonami and Toonami related things, so that in itself is always a good thing.

I need to get back on the Toonami tweeting myself while it's airing, I've just been relaxing the past few weeks and enjoying the programming more so than being active about it on social media.

Couple of twitter posts by DeMarco have mentioned they have about 5 or 6 things their working on for Toonami right now. Obviously I doubt he means shows but hopefully there's at least one new show in there somewhere.

Well, they will need a show to replace Deadman Wonderland since that's almost over, and I know they said FLCL is coming but since that's only 6 episodes I would think something that's actually new would be on it's way. The "6 new things" that are coming is probably just more TOM animations and maybe Sara or something along those lines, maybe a segment similar to The Intruder or some kind of new promo's.

One Piece season 5 was just announced at Otakon (taking the episode count to 336). Now would be an excellent time for a TV deal....

Doubtful. 336 episodes is a huge undertaking, and One Piece shows no signs of stopping at all. I still think long running shounen shows are not suited for AS Toonami, and especially not when there are still years of Bleach episodes that need to be aired.

One Piece have signs of stopping, but it's probably about 15 years from now, as it's only halfways. But yeah, it has always slowly been drawing closer to the conclusion, which has been planned out.

I partly agree about the rest though I really want to see it on.

It's better to get something to replace it while it is on its' phase out period. So picking up another long shounen in 2013 would be a good idea if they can swing it.

I'm warming up to the idea of starting at Water 7 but starting the show from episode 1 and running back to back premieres is probably the best way for Toonami to gain another hour or two on Saturday.

At this rate of One Episode per week, Bleach has about two years left, at best. If Toonami going for the long run, One PIece would be an excellent replacement. The funimation dub is certainly not a kids show with the amount of violence and swearing and would probably get a TV-PG V - TV-14 rating each time. Heck, nothing would need to bleeped or edited with because there aren't any s-bombs (save for a tiny one) or anything of that nature.

All they'd have to do is give adult swim a test batch of say 52 epsiodes, put it on the air, and see how it goes. A TV deal would give the dub a lot of much need PR, as you wouldn't believe how many people still think 4kids is dubbing the show. >.>
