Tex Avery's "Ventriloquist Cat" is probably one of my all-time favorite classic cartoons. Whenever I see this short, I laugh hysterically. I love the practically identical Hanna-Barbara remake "Cat's Meow" just about the same, but I do prefer Avery's original more. Either way, I'm sure most of you agree, it's one of the best.

So, my question is.. Why isn't it on DVD yet? And does anyone know if there are any plans for this or any other of Tex Avery's MGM shorts to be released on DVD?

I like this short too, and have good memories of watching as a kid. As for why it isn't on DVD, the reason that none of the rest of Avery's MGM cartoons(bar Droopy's) have been released on DVD; Warner for whatever reason refuses to put them out. You can do what I did and get Tex Avery's Screwball Classics 2 on VHS. It also includes Red Hot Riding Hood, Slap Happy Lion, a Screwball Squirrel short, and a couple Droopy's, along with The Ventriloquist Cat.

Yeah, I really wish they'd put all those Screwball Classics out on DVD -- they're some of the best cartoons of the Golden Age.

Nothing to write home about, but most of these cartoons are on DVD, but as a bonus feature to a classic feature film you would usually see on TCM. They are off-the-shelf transfers, and some of them do have edits, but at least they are on DVD. However, most people, including myself would prefer to have these all in one collection instead of buying a bunch of movies I have no interest in aside from the cartoon included as a bonus. But, I do believe that "Ventriloquist Cat" is on one of these DVD's.

Also, Tex's Oscar-nominated shorts are on a DVD set of Warner-owned Oscar-nominated cartoons. Plus, all of Tex's Droopy cartoons are available on a DVD set.

Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
