Oracle taking on even more debt to fund its AI and data center buildout investments with OpenAI and tieing its stock to this pursuit is why the Ellisons will end up like Kirk Kekorian if the doomsday scenario happens.

Oracle's debt load was already at $165B (pushing past AT&T-level, lol) before that recent pledge to borrow more money.

MM is a subreddit that's very focused on media M&A and had a 180 degree spin from worshipping Ellison from the start to now finally realizing he's been the villain all along and nobody realized it.

I said before, don't be surprised if it's approved. The man who never ran a real studio in in his life wasn't going to try if he knew it wouldn't make it. That's only a phase of the process and not the whole thing yet. But no one should have thought the current DOJ wasn't going just rubber stamp it, they rubber stamped -along with the FCC- the Nexstar purchase of Tegna and that's illegal , like the FCC just avoided laws illegal. This is not being done above the board.

Now hope some courts and stuff and states do their thing and have an air tight case. I do worry that the fake studio will start doing some things to make it hard for them to unbind, that's an old tactic in these ,need something to block it soon.

All I really can put out is that don't let it consume you, it's alright to be un-happy and mad , but it doesn't help to worry on something you really have no control over yourself. Hope for the best because maybe something good will happen. It's happened with Nexstar-Tegna when the court blocked it for now. I feel bad for the people working at these companies. The people are Paramount had to suffer through Redstone and now Ellison. The people at WBD, who had to suffer through... being at Warner Bros. which is cursed.
