Well how about that, a Toonami promo

Just saw a general Toonami promo with clips of Naruto, One Piece (unfortunately 4kids dub) and DBZ. Good to know they still think its worth promoting a bit. I saw it during a re-airing of the Grim Adventures of the KND. Perhaps they'll play it again in another airing of that special.

Lol, I'm guessing they had sound from the actual shows (which is why you know it's the 4Kids dub). Still, it's cool that they're promoting Toonami again. Although, this probably cements it being from 9:00pm to 11:00pm now...What clips did they use for each show?

DBZ was mostly Cell/Android saga with one clip of Goku on Namek exploding (taken from the opening perhaps) and I think I heard Ian Cortlet's Goku say "bring it on".

One Piece was Alabasta clips with one clip from I think the first episode. Nice clip of Ace torching the boat though. Actually, it may have been mostly clips from that Alabasta music video.

Naruto was season 4 clips including Sasuke scratching his Chidori across the hotel wall, the Sanin fight, Naruto's Rasengan training, a few clips of Tsunade and it ends with a clip taken from when Jiraiya and Naruto are in a town and Naruto looks excited.

Yeah it'll probably be 9-11PM for quite a while. At least they made a promo to note the change... finally. Too bad they didn't use FUNimation One Piece clips.

Interesting. I'll have to keep my eye out for it. Sucks that they used the 4kids dub for the One Piece portion of the promo. >_>

Hopefully we can get another promo soon that uses FUNi clips.

Or maybe show specific promos for Naruto and One Piece, even with no more episode specific promos.

Maybe CN will start promoting Toonami again now that Master Control is over. I think the last new Toonami promo before this one was back in August, when they were promoting the Naruto movie.

This is very good to hear. Promotion for Toonami had been getting rather sparse, even during the block itself.
