As the designated successor for the Fridays block after the Fried Dynamite retool was unsuccessful, how did Har Har Tharsdays (running from March 2008 to April 2010) fare for everyone as the new comedy premiere night block?

While the block's tentpole line up was Chowder, Flapjack, Johnny Test, Total Drama, and 6teen, there were some other interesting inclusions on the block. The first few months aired episodes from the final seasons of Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, George of the Jungle 2007, and Out of Jimmy's Head. Stoked briefly aired on the block during summer 2009. And Adventure Time aired two episodes as a "sneak preview" during the final weeks of the block.

How did Har Har Thardays fare for everyone?

I thought Har Har Tharsdays was creative. Even though at the time I was not in favor of the idea of a Thursdays block. I was all about Fridays or Saturdays because growing up in school as a kid, getting out of school on Fridays meant your homework, tests or quizzes for the week are done with a full weekend ahead of you to relax. At the time Har Har Tharsdays was active, I was in middle school so I couldn't watch TV because I was likely preparing for an end of the week quiz or test. Other than that, the concept of the Har Har Tharsdays block was a really solid idea.

On it's own, Har Har Tharsdays was pretty good for what it was. Wasn't as good as CCF/Fridays, but definitely better than Fried Dynamite.

I agree. This is coming from someone who prefer Friday and Saturday premieres.

Honestly i never watched it. I agree with it being on a Thursday was inconvenient if you are a kid. I prefer Friday or Saturday night premiers for kids’ shows.

It was fine but realistically Fridays & Saturdays are just much better for new premiers as opposed to Thursdays

To echo others' sentiments, I liked the concept of Har Har Tharsdays, though Thursday nights was a weird and not always convenient time to air premieres. Ideally, Friday and Saturday are the best nights for a premiere block on a family channel, since kids don't have to get up early the next morning, but it was still an enjoyable block; I especially liked Chowder and Flapjack.

Bit o' Trivia: in Latin America, the block was called iJa Ja Ja!

Seeing the consensus of finding it weird to air premieres on Thursdays and not Fridays, any reason they switched from Fridays to Thursdays at all in 2008? Sure Fried Dynamite was a bust, but they could've just used the Har Har Tharsdays branding for a Friday night block.

Here are some old threads showing what people thought of the block when it was first airing:

As for my own thoughts on the block, it was pretty good for what it was. Plus, it was the first place where Total Drama Island aired in the US so there's that.

TBH, I have no idea. I guess maybe because management changes going on at that time led to the decision of changing timeslots to get the kids interested, but your guess is good as mine.

Happy 20th anniversary to Gummibär/Gummy Bear!

Here's to hoping he releases an anniversary album in stores on November 13th (with lots of music, videos, and extras).
Just brought a Switch 2 this past weekend. I hope Nintendo doesn't follow Sony's suit of getting rid of physical games.
Find it hard to beleive how this upcoming set has more than one normally-considered "politically incorrect" cartoon in new restoration form..
