As the successor for New Thursdays for the animated shows, how did both Yoursday and Swordsday fare?
I lumped them in together since they kinda served similar functions of replacing New Thursdays with different gimmicks with Yoursday emphasizing having the kids at home inserting themselves into episodes and Swordsday being themed on Mighty Magiswords to promote the new show.
Notably, Yoursday did begin to show the shift in power that Christina Miller was pushing, with this being the last major block to make any effort at promoting Adventure Time (after Yoursday ended, Adventure Time became an afterthought until the finale), the last time they tried to give Regular Show decent promotion, Uncle Grandpa became an afterthought, the last time Clarence aired weekly regularly (remainder of the show airing in the bomb format with a few exceptions), the arrival of The Powerpuff Girls 2016 reboot, and Teen Titans Go and Gumball were the most pushed.
And Swordsday continued the new status quo with a lot of the shows that premiered during the Stuart Snyder-era (minus Gumball, Teen Titans Go, and sometimes Steven Universe) not airing weekly anymore on the block (granted Regular Show would air weekly for the second half of the final season at 8 PM, but they didn't bother including it in the Swordsday promos aside from the holiday themed weeks) and the new tentpole shows of the block being Teen Titans Go, Gumball, We Bare Bears, and Mighty Magiswords.
How did Yoursday (April to August 2016) and Swordsday (September to December 2016) fare for everyone?
