What words are missing in 'Boy Meets Dog"?

All video prints I've seen of Boy Meets Dog have that same splice after the father wakes up from the 'trial' dream...
So all you hear after he wakes up is "[splice]...is right"
Does anyone have a print that does not have this splice and could tell me what the father said?
FYI, this would indicate video piracy as all these different video companies copied eachother's spliced print.

I saw a complete print on a rented PD tape in 1988. After the father wakes up, he looks out the window and sees an electric sign that runs a plug for Ipana toothpaste ticker-tape-style. I don't remember what he said afterward.

Wow! I had no idea this existed. Maybe it was spliced out simply because of the add, and then they spliced a bit too far.
Thanks so much for telling me!

Well I'm surprised the Ipana plug was present! I guess it brings forward a question. Does a print still exist with all of the Ipana plugs still in it?

In May 1997, I saw "Boy Meets Dog" with Universal titles, on Matinee at the Bijou on the Atlanta public television station.

Well,
Being such a common cartoon there possibly might be a complete print out there.
Being that it was on a video in 1988, that means it was mass-distributed.
It's out there, but maybe hard to find. bobby, do you remember what the tape was like? I'm always looking at pd videos on ebay etc, if I knew which one has it I'd go for it.
Also, I'm wondering if a complete Castle print would yeild Ipana plugs.
But Castle might have had to forfeit that as well for legal reasons.
No wonder the cartoon has so much to do with damn (excuse me:D )
dental massages!
Everytime I saw this cartoon, I'd say to myself: 'No one actually rubbed their gums, did they? ' sheesh.. ;) :)

I think it was a long (2 hour) tape with Casper in the title. It started off with the 3 1940's Casper Noveltoons, but the only other cartoons I can remember are "Molly Moo Cow and the Butterflies" and a Toonerville Trolley, I think the first one. The only other rental PD tape from that time might have been one with "Pantry Panic" and "Have You Got Any Castles?" on it, but I think those 2 were the only cartoons on the tape. I think all the other rented PD tapes from that time were all Little Lulu or all Little Audrey.

Not your fault Bobby (being 16 years ago);)

But I dont think I could virtually ever find the tape given the cartoons that were on it....Just so many out there

I think the Gabby cartoon "All's Well" might have been on the tape too.

Celebrating Post #250I just got in a video yesteryear video with some mic. 30s cartoons for my birthday, and it happened to have Boy Meets Dog.
It was a much spliced, b/w copy. But unlike the Castle Films opening, with I beleive yellow letters in the title, this one (it was in b/w so I'm not sure aobut the colors) has a very art deco type design but plain lettering. Same music.
Is this the original opening?

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
