Who rides dirt bikes or quads...

I do ... I got a Kawasaki KFX 400 a few months back and boy is it fun... Me and my family have been going out to the desert all the time and staying for the weekend. anyhoo, I seem to be finding out that alot of people I know ride as well, often at the same places I do... So, do any of you ride? if so, what?

I used to go on a friend's Honda quad several years ago and it was great. If I had money to burn now, I'd get one for myself.

From the ages of 5 to 13, I rode a lot. They tell me a Bigwheel 80 was the first thing I rode, then from Honda 50's (bike) to Arctic Cats (snow-mobile, you didn't ask about that, but... well, I'm Canadian, so....) to Trail Blazers(quad), I even owned a moped *pukes* My favorite was a Honda XR80. It was the last bike I rode. At the time one of my brothers had a Suzuki (probably around 125cc, dunno what model) and another had a "Yamasaki" - a bike he and my dad built, putting a Kawasaki engine in a Yamaha bike. Or was it the other way around? But that was years ago.

So, to answer your question, no. But I recently rode a six-wheeled Argo around on a lake I'm not a four-wheeler fan, but that was SO-O-O much fun [except when it sounded like the ice was cracking ].

Oh yeah, as to where: in big fields (one of which had neat little "jumps") around my town, through the trails in the woods, in North Eastern NB, Canada

I've never ridden on a dirt bike, so I can't say I don't like it. But since about 3 or 4 years ago I have been riding atvs and always thought it was lots of fun. Now my brother is getting an atv and he says he might get another one, and when his girlfriend isn't riding it, I will get to .

But seriously, yes. My moped puked. That's how odd-looking it was. Same color as my XR, though. Yep. Not as nice, though.

P.S. Yeah, coulda been Kawamaha or seomthng. He's now (last I heard) got a Yamaha Seca2, and me dad has a ... some old street bike. Honda, methinks.

They are also known as four-wheelers, ATVs, bikes, etc... ATV Offroad Fury 1 & 2 are awesome "quad" games for PlayStation 2 and come highly recommended by yours truly.

yeah they're great machines... I find that they handle really well and the gearing is nice... Also theres alot of controll during jumps...

I used to ride three wheelers and quads all the time on the family dairy. After we got out of the dairy business, I have not ridden much anymore. We fix up the old 110 and broght an 70 for my nephew and niece to ride.

Is it possible to buy a three-wheeler nowadays? I thought I heard before that they were basically outlawed, but there might still be some company making them. It's not something I've really looked into, but it's kinda interesting.

Well, even back when three-wheelers were more prominent than four, I always preferred four anyway. The only time you see a "three-wheeler" nowadays is on those John Deere things usedfor cleaning parks and things like that. They have the front of a three-wheeler, but sometimes four wheels in the back, under a box.

What I wouldn't give for a dirt bike. All my siblings have these awesome dirt bikes and such and I get an old street bike. Wow. Still, I use my siblings when we go out on vacation and hit the trails. There isn't much to do in the flats of Indiana... of course the cornfeilds are dangerous *winks*
