Well... seeing as how I won "Best New Member" from the TZ Awards, I figured a celebratory change in avatar and signature were in order... for a short time anyways.

I decided to go with Squidward, doing one of his many "victory poses" from the Band Geeks episode of Spongebob. I thought it was fitting for the moment, you know?

I'm taking a break from my favorite turtley king to spotlight poor little Silver. Sure he stole pokemon, stripped the clothes from poor Rockets, and pushes poor little Kris/Ethan/Not Kris around. But you probably would too if your dad was you-know-who.

Finally got an idea for my avatar after a couple of weeks being bare. Given my new fondness to the anime Welcome to the NHK, I decided to give the mysterious heroine of the tale, Misaki, some face time as my avatar.

...Or I think I did. For all I know i may have been influenced by the NHK to do it. If so, I'm scared.

Well, that was fast. As I said earlier, I didn't plan on using Squid's victory pose for very long (although, I do still like it; I just didn't want to seem like I was gloating or anything). I might decide to use it again in the future, though, just out of random next time.

On to the next. I stumbled upon a cool shot of Flapjack the other day, and thought it'd make a good avatar. Woo.

Hah! At first glance, I almost thought it was a teaser shot of a new live-action DB flick.

First form Cell was always the creepiest (and the best), in my opinion. Second was just... laughable, especially now that his face has basically turned into a meme. His final form was alright, but I always thought he should have kept the full tail.

I like first form Cell a lot, too. The atmosphere in Dragon Ball Z during those introduction episodes were very horror/thriller movie esque. His design is also very unique, I feel. It must have been a pain to draw the design for Toriyama...but for the animators on Dragon Ball Z...eek.

Switched to the Amazon.com logo for a reason. Last week, I got a Blu-ray-playing laptop; I'm happy. Now, I'm trying to build up my small-but-growing Blu-ray collection that was started when the family got a PS3. So, I went to Amazon and found cheap anime on Blu-ray but am torn in deciding which one to get first. I've been asking on Twitter, but I've expanded the search to here with instructions in the sig. It will be like when I did the whole calendar thing two months ago, but without a poll.

Well, with Christmas being over for a week now, its about high time to put away the decorations.

My new avatar is a screencap of Miyako Asami from an obscure anime series called Betterman. And she is my kind of girl: smart, wears glasses, blue hair, stays cool in difficult situations.

Betterman is a personal favorite of mine, and just got done with a mini-marathon of the series' first parts. Might as well take up a Betterman theme.

I used this one shortly after I finally saw the SpongeBob anniversary special. That segment where he was animated to look straight out of a black and white short was spot on with what I've seen.

Current one is a shot of a new recruit from VC3 named Gisele Fleming. Have no idea what her class is but I love her hair.

Remember the days of ongoing avatar themes?

I had one going on last month when each day I'd have an image of something I'm passionate about enough to be considered a fanboy of, and I think it's time for another one.

I just made up a list of my top 10 favorite artists and for the next few days I'll put an image from my favorite album of theirs up and get into a little detail on why they're on my list.

And now it's time for... an honorable mention. Prince.

He may be a nut ball, but his 80's material is better than just about anything else to hit pop music before or after. I'd go as far as to call Purple Rain one of, if not the, greatest album ever made.

His post-80's work is too scattershot and ultimately uninteresting for me to make the list, but I thought I'd start with an image of the artists before I get to my real list.

It's Naoto from Miwa Shirow's Dogs, one of my favorite manga series ATM. I like the series in general - great character art and some intense action. Plus, Anime Paper - the site I go to for the wallpapers I use on my computers - has now provided avatars; this is one of them.

Well, I was looking for Spider-Man avatar. Don't ask me why, I just wanted one. So I was looking for one, and I stumbled upon this one, and I love it. I mean, it's Alex Ross, arguably one of the best comic book artists alive today!

I can't wait to play the new Pokemon Black version and Tepig is going to be the starter Pokemon I'm going to pick.
