I hope to god this MCU World War Hulk project is a movie and not a Disney plus series. Let's face it, the Incredible Hulk is long overdue for a sequel on the big screen, regardless of Edward Norton playing Bruce Banner/Hulk in the 2008 movie.

I don't disagree with you. However, think it'll be awhile before we see this. Probably right before Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

Yeah. I assume that means a healthy mix of Smart Hulk, Hulk Hulk, She-Hulk, and perhaps Rhodey or Riri in Hulkbuster armor.

Honestly, need to address the elephant in the room. Marvel haven't commented on how William Hurt's passing will go moving forward. They announced Thunderbolts with no mention of namesake, and if they approach Hulk again they need to recast. They should not do what they're doing with Black Panther.

Yes, but Ross kinda had it out for the Avengers. Since A:IW and Endgame, things have kinda reset, but he can still be a pivotal character. Especially if & when Marvel starts using Hulk again.

No word yet if the previous thread can be recovered so starting this one for now. If it can't be recovered, then eventually I'll populate this thread when things settle down. EDIT: As of 9/2, I've gone through all 8 MCU news threads and rebuilt this WWH thread the best I could.

9/24/22: I think it's a fair guess he's the true mastermind behind the group mentioned in this past week's episode and everything is building. It all leading to a new Hulk movie would be a chef's kiss of awesomeness.

10/13: Rumor is Leader gets She-Hulk's blood in the next Captain America movie and will make Hulks including Red Hulk which leads into WWH.

11/17: D+ rumor continues with a rumored date of Spring 2026 and follows the events of She-Hulk, Captain America: New World Order, an Abomination special, and Illuminati series.

11/26: Insider claims Disney actually gets the full rights to Hulk in the next 2 years.

12/23: Marvel set up a Shadowstone Productions LLC production company leading to speculation about WWH.

1/9: WWH back to being rumored as a movie and Liv Tyler in talks to reprise.

Iger rumored to have decided it should be a movie.

2/8: Latest rumor is World War Hulk will be set after Kang Dynasty and come out before Secret Wars.

2/22: Allegedly Maestro is a possibility to appear.

3/5: Analyst thinks Hulk rights could be regained through a Hulu stake sale.

3/7: Reportedly a Phase 7 movie set for November 6, 2026.

3/29: One insider claims that even if Disney does get the rights back to distribute a new Hulk movie, Universal would still own the 2008 Incredible Hulk one unless Disney outright purchases the full rights to it and Disney getting rights to distribute a new one is not 100% certain as there are contractual loopholes that could theoretically allow Universal to retain the rights longer that previously thought.

4/4: A 4chan rumor claims it will be 2 movies, Bruce Banner/Hulk will be off-planet, like the comics he finds his part-alien son Skaar and turns into the World-Breaker Hulk. The 2nd film: Hulk faces off against other MCU heroes Captain Marvel, F4 etc

4/15: Insider claims there never was a WWH movie in the works, rights don't automatically revert, and Bruce's story continues in other movies in the Multiverse Saga.

6/10: Rumor is the follow up to Captain America: Brave New World is World War Hulk.

6/15: The arrival of The Incredible Hulk on Disney+ on Friday are adding to some claims full rights have reverted from Universal to Disney/Marvel Studios. Variety also reports it.

I think the movie should be titled "Incredible Hulk : World War" because the logic behind that is that the title character's name must be up front in the title, much like Captain America : Civil War.

that's because universal still owns that tv show, but Disney did still owns the tv films due to Disney owning new world pictures but I think they didn't want to due to how cheesy those films were
