Did anybody mention the Mal Duncan/Karen Beecher appearances? I wonder if there are even more characters already going to that school.

I liked how the title of this episode, "Targets" was in plural. Why that is, becomes obvious by the end of the episode.;) Nice touch by Weisman and Co.

I should probably know the answer to this, but was Chesire even in on the fact that Lex's plan with Ra's was all a ruse? I suppose Lex might of planned to use Mercy @ the beginning instead of at the end, and Red Arrow just intervened.

Speaking of Luthor what was with the show pronunciating his name as Luther (as in Martin Luther)? That was bugging the [REMOVED] out of me through out the episode.

Chesire is so cool on this show; she's like something out of Kill Bill.

I liked how Ra's Al Ghul spotted Red Arrow when he was far away.

Greg Weisman voicing Snapper Carr. I wonder if that was Jamie Thompson's idea?

I agree that Lex's voice doesn't compare to Clancy Brown's Luthor. But he's still impressive.

Ditto for Oder Fehr's Ra's Al Ghul compared to David Warner's voice for him.

Megan's lucky that THAT was her initiation. I've heard of other groups doing much worse.

That final fight was awesome, and I loved Sportsmasters conversation with Aqualad and how they have a Mole in young justice. Looks like Aqualad is going to be keeping an eye on the team.

Welcome back Young Justice.

I really enjoyed this episode. I thought it was pretty cool to give more focus to Red Arrow during this episode since he's mostly just appearing for a little bit every once in awhile. The action was really well done, especially in the last fight with Aqualad's use of the water to create a shield. I wasn't too surprised to see Ra's is part of the Light, but I'm not sure if I was expecting Lex as part of the Light and I definitely wasn't expecting them to be on-screen at the end. I kind of liked how played around with who hired the League of Shadows at the beginning to the point where it looked like Lex was being one of the victims. While they were doing it for more power and control, at least their actions did lead to possible peace for another country.

It was quite satisfying to see Red Arrow finally admit that he was over his head and call for help. While he has been too angry during most of his last few appearances, he does just want to prove his own strength and capabilities as a hero and like he mentioned, he's still trying to get the hang of the solo act. Still, it was nice to see that he could work well with Aqualad and he does have respect for their organization. Hopefully, he can appear again as a useful alley whose willing to work with the whole group every once in awhile.

I didn't care too much for the subplot with Megan and Conner at school, but it was interesting to see them establish secret identities and going to school. I didn't think that they would have Conner go to a public school. I was kind of hoping that Conner getting the last name Kent would have been after his relationship with Superman had more development, but the way they handled it was still pretty nice. I did feel bad for Megan when I thought that the other girls were playing a trick on her, but it was nice to see Conner being angry at them when he thought that was the case too. Considering that he fell from sport bleachers and landed on concrete, it was kind of weird that the girls weren't more concerned for his physical well-being.

Overall, the episode was great. The pace was fine, the action was great, especially near the end, and the character interactions were nicely done. While watching the other episodes was enjoyable, I really missed watching new episodes of this series and I hope that the next episode will be fun to watch too.

All right, we get Luthor and Ra's! I loved Luthor playing Roy (and, well, everyone) throughout the episode. Even Ra's put on a little performance for him so he wouldn't suspect anything. I'm sure the League is busy with all sorts of problems, but it does stink for them if two of Superman and Batman's greatest enemies are thick as thieves and no one knows about it. I also loved seeing the action scenes in this episode, Aqualad showing a bit more power, and Roy always looks cool (so does Cheshire).

I like how they pointed out both J'onn and Reddy chose the name "John", but I'm a little disappointed in how Superboy got his name. I mean, it's a nice twist they were able to give him the "Kent" last name without him knowing what it really means, but it's unfortunate they did it without Superman being there (then again, maybe he did give his blessing). And Conner was something Megan pulled out of nowhere, so I guess he's not going to be "Kon-El" first.

I laughed at seeing Wendy and Marvin, but considering what the Teen Titans comic did to them...I'd rather they stay out of anything that isn't a Superfriends throwback. I called Karen/Bumblebee as soon as I saw the cheerleader uniforms and her hair, and I also correctly guessed Mal/Herald. I'm wondering if they'll ever be more than just supporting characters, but I'm even more curious about Snapper Carr. We know the location of Mount Justice was compromised, and in the comics, Snapper played a major role in that story...same case here?

I wonder if we'll be seeing Lian Harper in this show ;)

Probably as much chance of that as showing Roy doing heroin (then again, they got away with having Mera pregnant, so who knows?)

Eh, haven't the movies and Smallville done that too? I'm more used to the DCAU pronunciation as well, but at least we got that Ra's Al Ghul over the way it was said in Batman Begins.

Yes, he has a role in it on YJ, too. See Issues 1-2 of the companion comic. They shed some light on this.

EDIT: Oh, M.O.D.O.K. ninja'ed me. lol.

I'm about 90% sure that its not usually pronounced that way and that Lex's last name being pronounced as LUTH-OR was not a DCAU thing.

Can't say anything that hasn't been said, but it feels so good to see premieres from this show again.

I really enjoyed this episode... more than I thought I would after the 6-month hiatus. Maybe this was a really good episode, or maybe the series is starting to grow on me...

... or maybe both!:D

Having Lex Luthor being behind everything wasn't exactly a surprise... but then again, if he WASN'T secretly behind everything and manipulating everybody, it'd be WAY out of character for him! ;)

I didn't mind the subplot with Superboy and Ms. Martian, and I was okay that Kid Flash, Artemis and Robin sat this one out. I'm starting to accept that this show develops the characters and plots on its own schedule, and knows what its doing. I'm definitely looking forward to what happens next!

Definitely one of the better episodes so far. Roy's kind of lame and the whole Miss Martian/Superboy pairing still doesn't feel organic, but the villains pretty much owned this episode, and Aqualad was in good form.

What was so lame about Roy? I think he was awesome in this episode. Personally I think ever since he became Red Arrow he's been awesome.

As for the mole...?

I'm betting on Miss Martian as a RELUCTANT mole. Her "White Martian" speech with the hasty "of course, I mean, I'M a Green Martian!" tacked on to the end makes me suspect he's hiding something, at least, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her turn against the team out of a sense of debt or responsibility for one of the Light.

But frankly, I could see anyone being a traitor. So we'll see.

She only did that so she could discern herself from green martians who treat white martians unfairly. I'm not sure how that has anything to do with there being a mole in the group but I haven't been my sharpest lately so maybe I missed something.

My personal pet theory is that she's a White Martian but doesn't know it. The "Megan" we know and (some of us) love is a constructed personality, either by Martian Manhunter to subdue the real (evil) M'gann or by The Light, one of their allies, or M'gann herself to "hide in plain sight". She's the mole, but there's always the possibility that, ala Total Recall, the "fake" personality will be able to take over completely. Especially if that personality has something external anchoring it (coughSuperboycough).

In DC comics, the White Martians are usually evil. If Miss Martian is secretly a White Martian, well, it follows logically that she's evil.

Cosmic prejudice perhaps, but I get the inkling it's a possibility. :p

About the mole: I don't there's one, at least not one that Sportsmaster knows about. Why would he tell them about a mole they had no clue about? All that would do is attract attention to it for them to find out about it, removing an asset for the Light to use.

My theory is that Sportsmaster, acting on his own, was trying to spread distrust amongst the team so they'd turn on the one member that's hiding her background, Artemis, his daughter. I think its part of a gambit to get his daughter back and show her that being a hero is the wrong life for her.

But in "Infiltrator" Ra's Al Ghul says, "Once again, the young heroes interfere. So it's fortunate we have an operative on the inside".

Sportsmaster might be blowing smoke though, and not know that there really is traitor, because it's not like he revealed any info that only the team would know.

That's why I said Sportsmaster was acting on his own. As we've seen The Light does keep its henchmen in the dark so I doubt they'd tell Sportsmaster about a mole.

Good Solid 'A' episode.
When I saw Wendy and Marvin, at first I rolled my eyes and then laughed. :D

Didn't miss seeing Kid Flash. My least favorite character.

Cool mix of villians. Lex, Sportsmaster, Chesire, and Ra's all in one episode.

I'm just not impressed with his whole "angry young man obsessed with proving himself" routine. And his habit of lightly growling his sentences makes him seem more laughable than anything else, like he's trying too hard.

I think the "angry young man obsessed with proving himself" isn't much different from the other teen heroes who harbour similar ambitions. I agree that he was trying a little to hard at the whole solo act, but I think it's justified since this is his first time being a solo hero, and when push came to shove he did call for help.
