This Saturday, during the Spongebob Squarepants panel at SDCC, attendees played trivia and listened to a live table read featuringTom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward) and Dee Bradley Baker (everyone else). The read was of the episode “Idiot Box,” the leading result of a poll offered to fans online.
But the real treat of the evening was a special sneak preview of an upcoming episode, “Lost In Bikini Bottom,” wherein Spongebob decides to take a shortcut to work but gets lost along the way (he’s only been there for what, sixteen years?) The better news is that you don’t have to be attending the panel to get to see the clip, because Nickelodeon sent us a copy of it:
“Lost In Bikini Bottom” will premiere this Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 PM on Nickelodeon. Episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants are available on Nick.com and the Nick App, along with platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Xbox, Google Play, Vudu, Playstation, Hulu and VOD, DVD, VHS, VideoNow, specially-marked packages of Post cereals from 2005, those “Game Boy Advance Video” cartridges from twelve years ago, and probably Laserdisc.
