It’s been a while since we last saw them on the printed page, but the Street Fighter gang is finally returning to comics with Street Fighter Unlimited, coming later this year. This time they’ll be published by Udon Entertainment, a company that’s made its living recently publishing Western versions of video game artbooks, chiefly pertaining to Street Fighter. Now it’s time for something original!

Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Ken, Alex and Cammy will all star, and this time they’ll not only be facing the villainous Shadaloo organization, but also the invincible Gill and his cult-like Secret Society. The new series will be written by Ken Siu-chong and drawn by Joe Ng, both of whom have handled Street Fighter in the past, as well as additional art by Edwin Huang. Typical story arcs will span four issues.

In addition, as per the Udon tradition, there will be four-page ministories in the back of each issue drawn by a guest artist. The list revealed so far includes Jim Zub(Wayward, Samurai Jack), Adam Warren(Empowered), Chris Sarracini(Street Fighter™ Origins: Akuma), Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz(RandomVeus), and Omar Dogan (Street Fighter™ Legends), with more promised on the way.

Street Fighter Unlimited #1 will kick its way onto comic shelves December 2015, and future issues will be published monthly.
